Sorry for the delay. We've been away on spring break, and have had several busy weeks at school since then. However, we've been reading a lot and we are back, ready to blog again!

Blogging from Home?

Article posted February 22, 2006 at 07:24 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 65

I have asked the students to participate in this reading blog from home, if/when possible. This could give them the extra time they need to read what their classmates have written, comment on ideas, and even read what people have said about their own articles. It's a positive way to spend time on the internet in a safe online community.

I know internet situations at home are different for everyone. However, we have class time to complete the blog articles, and school computers are available to students during breaks.

What are your thoughts about blogging at home?

What Great Articles!

Article posted February 10, 2006 at 06:10 PM GMT0 • comment (2) • Reads 60

Today our class posted our first "official" reading journal articles. Wow 3H! I'm so impressed with the quality of many of these articles! The students have written a short summary of books they have been reading independently, and then focused on the different types of thoughts they had while reading. Please check them out. Many of the students have questions to ask you readers! Maybe you can answer their questions, or even comment back with a question of your own?

3H's First Blog!

Article posted February 2, 2006 at 05:12 PM GMT0 • comment (5) • Reads 175

Welcome to 3H's blog. This site will be used as a place where students in 3H can write about what they are reading.

Each student has a blog of their own on the right. The students are no longer just writing to me, their teacher. They are now writing to an audience of parents, classmates, teachers, and friends. Read their blogs, but more importantly, please comment on their ideas!
