In the very long holidays, I went to Whitianga with our close friends Ruby, Nelson, Susie, and John. Nelson and I went skim boarding. That is when you jump on a board and skim the waves.
When we went for a swim, I kept getting nipped by very little crabs. We saw a blue marlin and a HUGE !! grey hapuka and some medium sized kingy’s.
At the beach , there is a deep estuary called Mother Brown’s and there is a little pong with little sprats and orange crabs. Sprats were under the normal rocks and when I caught them they wriggled in my hands.
