It's hard to believe we are half way through this school year. To celebrate we did several fun activities. We wrote about our thoughts of being half-way through the year. We saw how many times we could write our name in half a minute. We did jumping jacks for half a minute. We kept time to the half-hour and saw how many ways we could show a half-dollar with coins. We learned that there are 6 eggs in a half-dozen, 4 ounces in half a cup, 30 seconds in a half-minute, and 6 inches in a half foot. We used a half-foot measuring stick to see how tall we were. AND...we created an animal at switchzoo.com that was half one animal and half another animal. (Some of us actually created an animal that was one-third one animal, one-third another animal, and one-third another animal.) It was a fun day and we are looking forward to our 100th day of school!
