This Sunday our class is going to Hutchinson, Kansas. I heard space camp is boring, but I can't wait because then I can't get in trouble at home for non important stuff like puting popcorn kernels down the sink. We don't get to sit by whoever we want on the bus. We had to make a list of FIVE people that we wanted to sit by. FYI you can't put seven people on your list, you can't only have one person on your list, you can't have the same persons name five times on your list, and if your a girl than you have to put all girls on your list an if your a boy you have to put all boys on your list. On my list I had Haley, Zan, Sydney W, Meredith, and Addison.

Im still lookinig for websites so if you have any websites or blogs that would be helpful to me It would be AWESOME if you could reply with the website's URL.

The TED video that my class watched today said that in Japan they didn't have street names they had names for blocks, such as, block 18 or block 24. They also couned houses by the order they were built so sometimes the numbers would be out of number order. Here's the video:

On Tuesday, my class got to go visit our kindergarten chapel buddies. We helped them decorate pumpkins with food. My chapel buddy and I made a girl pumpkin, our pumpkin was wearing a dress made out of lettuce and had a bunch of bows in her hair made out of marshmellows and cheerios. We were going to use bananas for the eyes but they were "too mushy" so we used carrots instead. The next day it was our 7th grade chapel and our chapel buddy's pumpkins were up on the stage.Picture taken by: elana's pantry

A Solitary Blue written by Cynthia Voigt is good but very frustrating! It made me and my literature circle group got really frusterated with the mother "Melody" at a lot times. We also found it hard not to be frusterated with one of the main characters, "Jeff". Basically the book is telling a story of a boy named Jeff Green who's mother left him when he was only in second grade. Jeff had to grow up for a lot of his life thinking that his dad was a man who didn't like emotions and was to busy with his research to pay attention or care about Jeff because his mother ingrained this into his head. It was a good book that made me want to keep reading at a lot of points.

I was reading another kids blog and he was saying how he liked sword fighting. Sword fighting is dueling with swords; fighting an opponent when both are using swords as weapons.I was really confused. I was like does this kid really play with swords or is this like a video game or something. Then I read another blog (by the same guy) and he was saying again that one of his favorite hobbies was sword fighting. But this time he was saying that he liked to do it to keep himself safe from all the bad people. Do kids where he lives really like to practice sword fighting so they can stay safe from bad people?

From everyone I've talked to and every blog I've looked at about Twilight everyone seems to love it. I've never read the books or seen the movie. I don't understand about how a book/ movie about a vampire can be so interesting?!? Can someone please explain this to me!?
