One topic our group agreed upon was why Jodee was worried about going to Anne’s house, and in the end was it a good thing that she went? We all thought she was worried about going there because in the past she has been invited to someone’s house and it hasn’t turned out so well. It was a good thing she did go because this time it did turn out well. I am glad it turned out well too because she needs friends and she now knows that she does. She has someone to hang out with and that will help her in the long run because she has someone besides her parents. She will have someone to talk to and won’t feel so alone. I would be iffy on going to someone’s house after being invited in the past and then hurt. I am just glad that she has a friend now and somewhere else to go.

                Another topic that out group agreed upon was why the nurse didn’t do anything when Jodee came to her to get the gum taker out of her hair, or why she didn’t have anyone punished. We all thought that she didn’t do anything because Jodee had told her not to because she would be made fun of and called a snitch. Jodee knew what has happened in the past when she has told on kids for bullying her and she didn’t want that to happen again. The nurse understood that she was getting picked on and probably didn’t want her to have to go through it anymore. If I was in that situation, I wouldn’t want to be picked on because I told on them, but I wouldn’t want it to just be left alone either.

                Blog B: What student created-questions did your group disagree upon and justify? (4-5 sentences)

                One topic that our group disagreed on was over the question, if it was you, would you attend gym or not? Some people in our group are not like Jodee and they said they would go to gym because they don’t care what people think. If only Jodee had that backbone. Some people on the other hand said that they wouldn’t attend gym because they would be afraid of people finding out about their problem and getting made fun of, and they wouldn’t want to be embarrassed. I would be one of those people who wouldn’t want to attend gym if I had that problem because that is very personal and I would definitely not want anyone to find out that about me and have rumors spread. I would only tell someone I trust. I don’t think people should be making fun of Jodee for her problem because she can’t help it.

                Another topic that our group disagreed upon was whether or not things will be better for Jodee when she goes to college or not. Some people thought that it will turn out better for her when she goes to college because when she went to that SA competition at the college she met a lot of new people. It seemed like things were going well for her there. We also think that when she goes to college there will be a bigger variety of people and that might make things better. Some people also thought that things won’t be better when she goes to college. They thought that she might get made fun of by the “popular crowd” for being smart. I hope things are easier on her in college. She’s had a tough past and she needs a break.
