Blog C of Please Stop Laughing At Me chapters 9-11
What student created questions that your group disagreed upon and justify?
Our group disagreed on nothing and we felt strongly that all of our answers were correct and we didn’t really disagree on anything.
Which student created questions would you like to have spent more time discussing and why?
One question was why do you think they went to Greece?
I wanted to hear my classmates’ opinions on why they went to Greece and if they agreed with me. I think they went to Greece because her dad felt bad and that he wanted to get her away from her classmates. It was basically Jodee’s dream to go to Greece so that is part of the reason they went to.

Blog B of Please Stop Laughing At Me chapter 9-11
What student created questions did your group agree upon and justify?
Our group agreed on how she felt about going to the Eastern Illinois University we agreed that she was nervous and that she thought they weren’t going to like her either and they were going to start bullying her too. She was very scared at first too and then she felt welcome when she saw the surroundings and she was getting a little more secure and her mom and dad said that if anything happened then she was welcome to call and ask if she can go home.
Another topic we agreed on was Annie’s party we thought it was going to be a joke and that they were going to bully her to. Annie was actually a good person and none of her friends made fun of her. We agreed that she was hoping to make new friends and that is why she trusted them which they told her the truth that it wasn’t a prank.

Blog A of Please Stop Laughing At Me chapter 9-11
What student created questions in your group that generated the most discussion and justify?
One topic of discussion was why did they go to Greece?
One student said that they went to Greece to get Jodee away from her classmates. Another student said that they went to Greece to cheer Jodee up and they said that it was her dad’s idea. Also her dad felt bad so he took her to Greece to explore and to meet new people. But I thought they went to Greece because they didn’t want Jodee to get hurt anymore and that they wanted her to be happy for a while they are wanting her to meet new people so she can get new friends and she has always wanted to go there it was sort of her dream.
Another topic of discussion was why do you think that the people in Greece accepted her but the people in the states do not? One student said that there are less people in Greece than there are in the states and Greek people like meeting new people. Another student said that Greek people are different from the state people. But I thought it was because they are kinder people and they aren’t around too many people so they don’t have as many to pick on there because it is kind of an ancient place and not very many people go there and nobody is perfect.

Know your rights are important for your community and your country because people need to know what they are doing wrong. They need to know what others are doing wrong and in order to know what they are doing wrong then you have to know your rights. Voice your opinion is important for your community and our country because others need to know what you think and you need to give your ideas or opinions because it would be considered pitching in to help and if you don’t like something then you need to tell them that you don’t like it. Respect the rights of other is important because others have the same exact rights as you treat others the way you want to be treated.

If I would of been at this party I would of called my mom sooner and like right before they started playing the game I would of went down the stairs to call my mom to tell her to come get me now and I would of told her what they were doing at the party. I would have told her to talk to her mom for me and she would and the kids would get punished. She could of not went to the party or she could of went down the stairs and talked to calli's mom or she could have helped calli's mom with things down the stairs and said that she was tired and wanted to go home then tell calli's mom what was going on upstairs. Jodee should not be blamed for the punishments the other students got from their parents for what she did because she did the right thing. If i were a student that was at this party when my parents got called and came and got me i would of been whipped really hard and I would of gotten grounded for like ever and I would of gotten chewed out too. I dont think that the treatment jodee is receiving from her classmates is fair because like I said before she did the right thing and she did not want to tell her mom and she did not want her mom to talk to calli's mom because she knew that she would end up getting bullied again at school. If I were a kid at that party I would of been on Jodee''s side and I would of went down to tell with her and I would be her friend at school too.

Some things that our group agreed about was that the only reason that the kids at jodees school made fun of her was because she hung out with marianne a deaf girl that is handicapped. Also the only reason why the kids made fun of marianne was because she was deaf and handicapped and because she had any good clothingand because she is four years younger than them and, she lived in a poor neighborhood. We did disagree with one question in our group do you think that jodee will have the same problem at the next school ? (why or why not) some of us said no and some of us said yes and we explained why we thought what we thought . The topic that created great debate was about that one question about do you think that jodee will have the same problem at the next school? why or why not. The question do you think that terry and jo ellen really wanted to be jodee's friend again or were they just pretending?why The things that jodee thought changed in 5th grade like she was invited to two slumber parties in the first week and the popular girls wanted to play tag and stuff with her. Then people started bullying her again just because she was hanging around a little deaf handicapped girl named marianne and she was just tying to be nice but she actually liked her as a friend.

"It was either shun or be shunned. The meaner you were to the "rejects" the more popular you became with members of your clique." It meant that the meaner you were to the not so popular kids then you would become more and more popular with your group. that is very sad how they treat the not so popular just to become popular it kinda makes me angry to and i feel sorry for the people that get bullied.
I do not agree with the quote it really is not nice it makes me feel sad how those people treat them how they can just sit there and bully them around and it does not even hurt the bullies heart . I would never be able to be mean to someone unless they were being mean to me first but i would just go tell a grown up first then if that does not help then i would have to talk to my parents about them bullies at school then my parents would contact their parents. I have been bullied before too so I know what to do in some bulling situations.
Well one time we were outside on the playground and lilly and george and cathy and tracy were following us around talking about us behind our backs and then we told them to stop but they did not so we went up by the big bars by the wooden playground and then george spit on me and then jen spit on him back and then they kept on threatening us about stuff. Then we went and we told the principle that they did all of that stuff expeccially about him spitting on me and it was so gross. Then i went home and told my parents and then they contacted the school about it.

I rate MY summer as a 9 because it was so much fun. I hope we have a summer exactly like that every year. The best thing that we did was go to WORLDS OF FUN=http://=http://=http://!!! Here is all that went, my sister Paige, my brother Dylan, my other brother Herman, my Mom, my Dad, our friend Racheal Sowers, and me. Dylan, Paige, Racheal, my Dad, and I rode the Prowler three times, the Detonator 1 time, the Mamba three times, and the Patriot twice. My mom and Herman went to Camp Snoopy and then we had to come and find them. Then we had to go ride the Fury of the Nile as a family and the Viking Voyager as a family. Then we went to ride the bumper cars and the taxi cars. Later on we went to the souvenir shop at Camp Snoopy. There was a stage and Snoopy was on it and two other directors. They said to raise your hand to go up there to sing and dance to This Old Man. Paige and Racheal ended up going on the stage and they pointed at my dad and said, "This ones for you dad!" He put the basket ball in front of his face. It was really funny!! We all got a keychain of Snoopy and his shirt said Joe Cool. He also had on sunglasses. Later that night on our way home we went to McDonalds to get something to eat. It was the best summer I have ever had!!!

“If you’re good at something the popular crowd deems “uncool”, you are sunk”
This quote is very true. It makes me feel sad. When I see people teasing someone for doing what they like to do, I am sad and mad. I have seen this happen and wish I could do something to help. Maybe I could encourage them and be their friend. Jodee, in this book was brave when she made the speech in speech class even though kids teased her. I think she was encouraged by the teacher and that helped her be brave. So, if I encourage other kids maybe that will help.
I have not had this happen to me but I have seen others get teased. So, I know it happens at school.

"A person should experience a nervous reaction if she is worried about failing, not because she is scared of succeeding."
I have experienced that kind of thing a lot. It was a very upseting feeling. I also feel sorry for the people who have those kinds of feelings. I encourage them that they can do it and even though they dont think they can then I will keep encouraging them until they believe in themselves. Usually when I have that kind of feeling then I just encourage myself by saying I can do it over and over in my head and sometimes I say it out loud.
April is not scared of succeeding but she is worried about failing. I think she is accually confident about herself and I think that people like her for who she is because she goes out for sports, she is a good student, and she is a hard worker. The reason why I think she is worried about failing because her mom/dad is the teacher and expects her to succeed. They also probably encourage her to do her best and they prabably help her sometimes too.
