Blog C: Which student-created question would you like to have spent more time discussing and why?
A question I would like to have spent more time discussing would be about our opinions on Jodee’s deformity. When I read about how Jodee talks about her body, she seems really negative toward herself which isn’t good for her self-esteem. It isn’t her fault that she was born with a disability and she should just accept it, but hopefully her parents will find some way to change it so she will become more confident in the long run. If I had the same problem as Jodee, then I wouldn’t know how I would handle it. I would do everything I could to cover it up like she did. I’m positive that I wouldn’t be as brave as Jodee was when she wanted to start going to gym again. I wish I had as much courage as her and not care so much about what everyone thinks of me.
