Exhilarating Eights

Room 8
We are a Yr 3 and 4 class and we live in an active volcano.... really! We love our city, with its geysers, mud pools, and thermal swimming. We love to find out about our country and the world, and are learning about blogging.

Changes for 2013

Article posted December 18, 2012 at 11:05 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 483

I say goodbye to Room 9 and become Room 8 in 2013. Many of this year's students will be with me for another year, while I welcome many new faces to my classroom.

The Nine-Os will no longer exist, so look forward to the changes to come!

I wish you all happy and safe holidays, wherever in the world you may be.

A very special visitor!

Article posted September 2, 2009 at 02:24 AM GMT0 • comment (7) • Reads 1302

We were very lucky to have the tallest teenager in New Zealand visit our class; he is 218cm tall, or 7' 2". Now that  is tall.

Mark is currently playing basketball for his High School team, and next year he will be going to USA to play basketball there. He has been to Beijing for a special training course, and he showed us the uniform he was given. When some of our students tried the singlet on, it reached to their feet!

We asked Mark lots of questions and he very kindly and patiently answered them all.

Thank you for the visit, Mark, and we wish you all the best for your future.
