The issue that I choose is, “Sea level rise due to global warming.” The reason I choose this issue is because if the sea levels keep rising there will be lots of floods and people will have to leave there homes for shelter. I think people should do a little more to try to prevent the sea level from rising up. This issue is important to me and lots of other people. ¾of planet Earth is covered in water so if the sea level rises too much it’ll probably flood the whole Earth.

Energy is a precious resource but unfortunately it is limited . And to make energy you need to spend quite a bite of resources. When the process
of energy making initiate there are considerable damages occuring to the environment .Therefore using energy should be guided by common sense attached to energy making process .
-I think many people don't have access energy in the world and we are very fotunate to have energy
therefore we should not waste energy instead we need to preserve energy
-My dad always tells me never to waste energy and water. We can start preserving energy from home

I think global warming is a global issue because many people don't really care about global warming because they think it is lie . And soon
global warming will happen if we don't be careful. So we should keep earth clean by not litering and using nucler power .

POP MAGAZINE…
In Pop magazine I have learned about all these kind of interesting things in it like: millions of years from now earth will be 27 hours long? This is because the earth’s rotation is slowing down and an extra second is added every few minutes to make up the time for lost time, the earth is not really an circle but is it more as a pumpkin if that is what scientist say, there is more water around the world the land, you can power certain types of cars with fast food grease. These are some of the things I didn’t now until I got the magazine at school. So pop magazine make you learn about all these interesting stuff like how it made mw learn about it.

One day in my class we read articles in a Pop magazine about global warming and using the three R’s (Reduce, Reuse, and recycle) and we learned that recycling 17 old newspapers saves 3 trees. And also sponsoring how to stop global warming David Suzuki, he said to use bikes in stead of cars, use less electricity and uses the three R’s, and I think that it’s good to use all that stuff to help stop global warming.

I saw in the pop magazine that a million years ago, the hours in a day used to be 20 hours, but in a million years from now, the hours in a day would be now 27 hours. Every year, a second would be added because of the earth going around the sun. Those seconds will be added in the future. This surprises me and it makes me happy because if we ever have homework we would have enough time to do it, and that you can stay up longer now! And 12 won’t be midnight anymore; it would be 15 ‘o clock!

Lately we have been learning about Global Issues, this means the issues that the world has. Some examples are climate change as well as deforstation and waste. The effects of climate change are that glaciers are melting, sea levels are drasticly chaging, and of course wild life is scrambeling to survive in theese conditions. Humans are causing most of this major problem since the last century by relasing heat trapping gases as we power our modern day lives. Experts believe that the worlds tempature will increase betwwen 1 degree C to 3.5 degrees C. Think about how these happenings could change our lives and think about the problems they could make for us. So come on guys park our cars and take the public transit to school or walk or take your bike to school. And turn off your cars engines if waiting for more then 10 seconds. Lets help fight climate change.

Why is wasting energy an important issue?
In TV or newspapers, we often find an article about environment problems. They talk about lots of things: disappearing forests, air pollution, dirty water, etc. Wasting energy is one of those problems.
Wasting energy has many bad effects on both people and earth. One of them is that the energy sources such as oil, water, and coal will be gone someday. They are not unlimited. Especially oil is deeply involved in our life. Cars, our most common transportation, are fueled by oil. There are more than 450 million cars in the world. Imagine that one day, the oil is gone. All the cars would be useless, except the ones that are fueled by other resources, such as solar energy or electricity.
Thankfully, there are some cars fueled by energies that come from environmental-friendly energy sources. There are cars going by electricity, natural gas (which is also limited, but have more left in the earth than oil, and produce less pollution than oil), and solar energy. However, they are harder to see than cars fueled by oil. Finding out new energy sources, and not wasting both new and old energies, are good ways to be responsible about the future of the earth.

In school we got a magazine called POP magazine. Mr. Milloy told us to find some issues about the world in the magazine. One issue that really surprised me is the water level is riding because of gobal warming. If the water level rises too high, some cities will be flooded by this. To solve this problem we should stop things that make global warming happen. I think if we stop global warming, this issue and more will stop because there are lots of problems due to global warming. Although i have some questions. I wonder if there is another logical explination for the sea level rising? I think this is a very serious problem and i think should be stopped. Not only this though, there are many major problems in the world and all of them should be stopped.
