Recess

A lot of us love going to recess, but there's something that doesn't make it as fun as it usually is.
Most of the problems happen during line up time. Especially in our class, even if it's not our fault!
5C (our class) is always late, whether its going down to class, or to lunch. As much as we talk, we're usually quiet when it comes to lining up. Even though we behave like that, we're still picked last accompanying 5D. Probably because we're 5 "C". To me that's pretty unfair. We're also told to stop at the bottom of every stair case, and there are about 7 stair cases, not counting the ones to the BD building. At each stop, we'd wait for about 1 to 3 minutes. The system of the current and only homeroom teacher that takes duty is unfairly causing the delay in our schedules.
I hope the system will be more flexible and we'll enjoy our recess even more, and come back to class ready to learn!

Two students printed their assignment, but didn't get it on their blog, before closing the file. Perhaps this will help. (Mrs. B)

I entered the classroom finding Miss Jeanette Karam standing up. The dietitian started explaining to us about our health and the type of food that we need to eat. We were given a food pyramid that had the different categories: grains, fruits, vegetables, oils, and milk. I found out that too much of one category isn’t really good. I discovered that sugar might block our arteries. Tea isn’t good for us to drink every day because of all the caffeine it has. Steamed vegetables are better than boiled vegetables because the vitamins and fiber get lost in the water. Fiber contains antioxidants which burn the fat in the arteries. It’s healthier to eat oranges than drink orange juice because very little vitamins are left. Even if we squeeze the juice it’s still not as healthy as the fruit itself
A few hours later, a cardiologist called Dr. Antoine Abchee came to class and explained to us ways we could keep our circulatory system healthy. I found out a bit of alcohol is healthy for adults, especially red wine, but even though, exercise is much healthier. Addictions could really effect a person, for example, smoking.

I Made a Mistake
I went to the mountains to go on a hike,
I made a mistake… and got caught on a spike.
I went to a restaurant to eat some noodles,
I made a mistake… and lost all my poodles.
I went to the airport to go to Asia,
I made a mistake and drowned Malaysia.
I went to McDonald’s to eat some fries,
I made a mistake… and swallowed a fly.
I went to the fair to play some games,
I made a mistake… and forgot my own name.

How to treat a mouse when it’s running around your house
Now you’ve got the mouse in your house, what do you do?
Now, I know what it’s going to do.
First thing the mouse will do, is get some cheese. It’s pretty obvious because mice love cheese.
Now you have to train the mouse, but it’s not pretty easy. You’re going to have to be nice to the mouse. Start by giving him or her some cheese. Anyway, cheese can’t walk by its self.
Did you give the mouse the cheese? Good. You’re just going to have to do it a couple more times. That is how to do it the beginners way, got it?
As your being kind to him, he will start getting confused
Because you weren’t kind to him,
So you’re becoming a teacher to him or her (believe me mice are not going to start using you).
Congratulations! You taught the mouse how to be your waiter and now you’ve got one!
If you were talking about the computer mouse, sorry, this isn’t the book you should use.
