Lightning
A flabbergasting flash
And it’s all over in a dash
A flare of gold
A breathtaking flash that never gets old
It’s the crown of the sky
It’s amazing speed in the sky
In less than a second it would stunningly fly by
It's spectacular light
Makes it an intriguing night
Watching it race past you
It reminds you
Of the times you lived in a hole
The times when you’d eat meat whole
The times you slept with apes
The times when you hunted with wolves
The times when you ran after bull
You slept without being full
The times when you fell asleep to the coyote who howls
The times when you fell asleep to the hooting of the owls
And even today
Those memories stay
Lightning
It’s a little bit frightening
Yet very enlightening

The Falcon
A flash of gray and white
A mouse flying without a fight
All happening on a day so bright
The falcon seized its prey
And in a flash of silver light
And in a show of fantastic might
It won without a fight
In the last light of day

I have a dog named Flora. She is a German shepherd. She is friendly but people are scared of her because she jumps on them to greet them, then people think she is attacking them. When she is walking she gets distracted easily. My dog is obsessed with tuna. If she smells tuna she will go crazy. Sometimes she is hilarious. Once she put her toy under a shelf but her head did not fit so she tried digging on concrete. She is also very strong. Once she pulled so hard that I tripped and then she dragged me through mud.

My Trip To Byblos

One Sunday morning my grandma and I went on a trip to Byblos. The weather was good but a little warm. As soon as we arrived we went to a majestic castle from the crusades, unfortunately some chambers were closed (this heavily disappointed me because I was hoping to catch a glimpse of a medieval armory). In front of the castle there was an ancient Roman amphitheater in fantastically good condition. Then we went to a wax museum; I liked it a lot because the figures were surprisingly realistic. Next we went to a fish restaurant next to the harbor. There I ate fried fish and tabuleh; it tasted astonishingly great!!!. After that we went on a boat ride. I enjoyed it because the boat never stood still.

2030

I predict that if we still use cars in year 2030 they will be running on hydrogen. A peaceful future will rely on one planetary language and one supreme leader for the planet. We will be living in skyscrapers and use renewable energy (wind, hydro, solar). We’ll be living along side other highly developed species (Apes, Chimps, Gorilla, Orangutan, Monkeys, Dogs, Wolves, Whales, and dolphins).
There’ll be democracy and capitalism. Every resource is going to be highly valuable, and landfills won’t exist. If we as humans can reach those objectives we will be guaranteed a future.

It looks at me with adorable eyes
In its puny size
The puppy crawls to the bowl
And asks us to fill it whole
The wonderful puppy
With adorable eyes
I am glad that it does not cry
The hilarious puppy
Is very friendly

The Wolves Howl
The moon is high
In a dark blue sky
Then I hear a sound
It reminds me of a hound
I see two golden dots
Then I see lots
I don’t feel scared
Because I know they cared
They care about the mountains
Filled with crystal clear fountains
They care about the valley
Where they often rally
Tonight the wolves howl
The sound joins the hooting of the owl
It’s a sound I can't describe in words

The Flying Chicken

Once, there was a chicken named Henry, but Henry was different from most chickens in the farm. Henry’s mom was a chickenthropologist and his dad was a chickenier. Henry’s dad was very stubborn and if he saw a speck of dust on your shirt you would be grounded for at least a week.
Henry’s mom is not well known and I can’t describe her but the one thing I know is that she agreed with everything Henry’s dad said.
Back then chickens saw the glass half empty; most chickens were ignorant, negative and stingy. But Henry was one of the few chickens that dared to be different from the rest. Henry’s largest goal was to prove that chickens can fly because back then chickens thought that they could not fly. Henry was very confident to achieve his goal. When Henry was young he spent hours observing barn owls. After a few months Henry thought he understood the basic principles of flight, so he built a glider. It flew well for half a second but then violently crashed into the ground. Henry broke his crown and was hurt badly, but Henry didn’t give up; instead he went over every part of the blue print and found that the plane produced too much drag so Henry added a sharp nose on the second glider. Everyone in the barn made fun of Henry, but Henry ignored them. Only one young rooster dared to assist Henry, that rooster was named John.
John was fascinated with flying; John was a lot poorer than Henry because John was an orphan. John often assisted Henry. Once a group of roosters came and picked on Henry; he ignored them but sensitive John began to cry.
Two days later they were ready to launch their second glider, as everyone expected, it crashed. Henry broke his leg as soon as Henry came home his parents violently insulted him, then Henry was grounded for five months.
One night Henry looked out the window and he saw John, and then Henry excitedly jumped into john’s egg cart. On their way to the launching area John told Henry that he had fixed the glider and that this time it would fly. A lot was at stake; if the glider failed they would spend their lives in chicken jail. As soon as they arrived Henry and John cautiously checked everything, then they readied the catapult, then hesitantly Henry pulled the switch and just as the orange sun rose into the sky John and Henry gracefully drifted away.
the end
