F/ F- Diary Entry

T/ T- What was the Great Compromise

July 2, 1787

Dear Diary,

Today I looked inside a window and I saw that there was a ton of cool people dressed in wool suits and wigs. It was super hot. I was with the New Jersey plan, which meant that every state was equal and every state had the same amount of representatives. It was the hottest summer yet and the sun was working harder and harder. The people inside of the room called it the great compromise. Benjamin Franklin said that there was no better constitution so this might as well be the one! I was happy that our government was changing!

Sincerely,

Erika Loollopt

Dear Diary,

I was walking around a corner today, when I saw a building

with lot’s of people in it. They had wigs on and wool coats. I didn’t understand why, because it was so warm out, and they didn’t even have any of the windows open. I wanted the Virginia plan to work because then, every state with a large populations will have lot’s of representatives, and each state with a small population will have fewer representatives. When I was walking, I saw a guy named Patrick Henry. He never wanted the government to change, but I didn’t know what he was talking about. The place with all the people was called the Great Compromise.

Sincerely,

Pralyssa Dumba
