The three main characters are, Lusa, a black bear, Toklo, the grizzly bear, and Kallik, the polar bear. 

   Kallik has just gotten dropped down by this big airplane, where, a friend was killed. Her journey, now is to reach her brother, so that they can journey together. The only problem is, is that she doesn’t know if he is still alive. 

   Lusa and Toklo travel together and with another grizzly cub named Ujurak. He can form into any animal, but he can not control his power. They hope to reach the place where the bear spirits dance and sing. 

   They all follow the bear watch, a star, so that they can reach one place, where they belong. But they do come across challenges that are hard to overcome, and some that they need to face together. only if they put aside their differences and truly come together will the young bears have any chance of surviving the harsh realities of the wild. They have a quest that will bring them amazing adventures and unexpected suffering, and each bear will have to set their paws on a future they can not yet imagine.
