-- My Brother, the Book Character

Article posted October 23, 2008 at 07:25 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 4269

When I think of a family member who would make a great book character, my brother Gran is the first person who comes to mind.  He's always thinking ahead, plotting out some long-term scheme or plan in his mind.  This trait would make him an excellent book character because a book centered around him would include lots of foreshadowing and a complicated plot conclusion.  When a reader got to the end of the book, s/he would immediately notice all the little events that lead up to the book's conclusion and think, "So, that's why he did that earlier in the story."  A book about my brother and all his scheming and antics would definitely keep a reader on the edge of his seat!

Madeiline B -- Best Friends

Article posted October 24, 2008 at 11:16 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 876

I think my mom would be the best character in a book because she is SOOOO FUNNY! She is very unpredictable too. In a good way though. She is also fun. If she would be someones mom in the book, her and the child would be best friends!

Arianna C -- Mom Becomes A Ht Seller Booki

Article posted November 11, 2008 at 09:41 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 838

Picking a person in my family for a character in a book is tricky because lots of people have great qualities for a "Best Seller Book". If I had to choose one person in my family to be in a book it would be my mom. She would be the not-so-typical-everyday mom. I'd choose my mom because she's extreamly funny. when I say funny I don't mean ha-ha-he-he funny;I mean rolling on the laughing!!! On the other hand, she can be a typical mom, you know, gets mad if you flunk a test or didn't do your chores or where being mean to a younger/older sibling. But if she was in a book, "A Millionaire"!!

Victoria R -- ALEX!!!

Article posted October 29, 2008 at 01:02 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 871

Have you ever seen my brother Alex?? I have. He would be a great book character because he is way over dramatic. He talks to him self just like the people in the books do. Some times When they say that us kids play a lot of vidio games, I don't belive it. When weve I go into my brother's room, he is hooked on to the game. He is always running off like people in books when they get really angry. The he comes back in a really good mood. Now can you picture all that?? If you cane, then you have seen my brother.

Emma S -- Myklin

Article posted November 6, 2008 at 07:09 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 902

Hey people! My friend Myklin would be a good story character, but only if she was in a horror book. 'shudder' it scares me to death to think of Myklin in a ...a... a romance. The horror! Myklin has the perfect personality for a troubled teen...that ends up on the verge of death ...and lives, but has to keep running from whatever ...thing...is chasing her. Or she could just die and seek revenge. She would probably fit better into the latter of the two.

Chuckie S -- Crazy Little People

Article posted October 26, 2008 at 06:56 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 867

My brother.Oh my gosh. If you could live with him, you'd think he is the wildist creature on Earth, some people that know him say he is calm, but nobody has ever seen him after he eats candy like twinkies, brownies, and espessialy SWEDISH FISH!!!He goes wild, way wild, so wild you wish you could just scream for your life.Okay, I'm going to  get back to the topic he would be perfect for a fantasy story like Harry Potter or The Chronicles of Narnia. He would be like some wild animal that tries to stop everyone from doing what they need to do. I could also see him in a realistic fiction too. He could be the annoying little brother o sister like in the Henry and Beezus books. The characte my brother would play is Ramona. She is as wild and as crazy as my little brother. I can't blame him, that's just what little brothers and sisters do(irritate you!!).

Jennifer T -- The Best Book Character!

Article posted October 24, 2008 at 01:00 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 788

I think my brother would make the best book character. He is 15 years old. I think he is the best book character because he has an interesting life. One thing is he always does his school work. Another thing is he always helps me when I have a hard decision to make. I think he is a good role model and that is why I think my brother would be a good book character.

Rachel W -- The Monkey That Lives on Kim Dr.

Article posted November 13, 2008 at 08:21 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 882

There is a monkey that lives on Kim Dr. He is my cousin Ragin. He's two and is the most photographed baby in the country (possibly the world). Grant, Ragin's little brother, drives Ragin crazy. He choses the worst possible time to play, like while holding Grant. When he has had too much suger he runs arount the house screaming. His temper tantrums are unbarable. I can't imagine babysitting!
