Twilight is a modern twist on the classic vampire; and this time, the vamps bite back! Klutzy Bella Swan moves to the run-down, middle of nowhere town of Forks, Washington, where it's always raining, to live with her dad, the police chief of the quiet province. On her first day of school, she sees the Cullens; a family of estranged, beautiful, quiet teens, and is immediately drawn to them. Through a series of incidents, she becomes entranced and obsessed with the alone, distant, and gorgeous Edward Cullen. There relationship soon grows to that of a supernatural Romeo and Juliet once Bella finds out that Edward is a vampire, though him and his family, unique in their choice, are 'vegetarians'; they only hunt animals. But Bella test's Edward's self control with her intriguing scent, and he's not the only one. Soon a coven of three come, and they aren't so people-friendly. One of them becomes obsessed with hunting Bella down, and the Cullens' pull out all the stops to save her and Edward. All and all it is a thrilling new tale that questions and stretches the boundaries of life, love, and mortality.

Alright, here is another brick on the growing pillar of Stephenie Meyer's bestsellers. This twist of science fiction that came out in the summer of 2008 is her first attempt at writting for the adult audience. It is an emotional, heartwarming book about someone very different finding out how similar we all are. But expecially you guys out here, don't get discouraged by that; there is plenty of action, adventure, and aliens. The Host, in Stephenie's own words, is a science fiction book for people who don't like science fiction, but never fear sci-fi lovers, this is just as appealing for those who do. In this book, the Soul, Wanderer, gets inserted into her Host, Melanie, but Mel doesn't fade like she's supposed to. Insted, she fights for her body, and her life, and Wanderer unwillingly falls for the man Mel loves. Convinced by Mel to find them and protect them, the embark on a journey to find their family, friends, and acceptance. But there is drama when Wanderer meets her true partner. What happens?
