My Valentines day sayings......
147 psi isn't enough to hold me up when you're around
Without you, the Sun doesn't shine with the temperature of 28 million degrees
It's almost like Nitrogen and Oxygen are non-existant when you come by
When I see you, it's like being in space: you take my breath away

This blog is about Joe flood’s visit to our school. You’re probably wondering who Joe Flood is. Well, he’s a public speaker who comes to talk to us about drugs and alcohol. He’s an expert on that kind of stuff because he was an alcoholic.
My first impression of Joe Flood was that he was going to be someone who didn’t look that good, and was dressed kind of weird. But he looked like any other person that you might see walking down the street one day. He started right off talking about his past, and how he became an alcoholic. As he talked, I thought to me “This guy is pretty brave to talk to people that he doesn’t even know about how he screwed up his life”.
I think that the Joe Flood program was very informative to me about using brain altering substances. It really makes you think, do you really want to do this to your body, and end up without a job, wife, friends, and family? I just have something to say that came straight from Joe: LIVE ABOVE THE INFLUENCE!

Antarctica- Penguins

I was pretty impressed that Ms. Ellwood saw he penguin colony. I honestly thought that she wasn’t going to see any penguins this year. I feel good for her, and that instead of seeing one, she got to see thousands of different ones. I bet that she was happy. Here is a cool picture http://www.polartrec.org/node/6859 One thing that I would like to ask Ms.Ellwood when she gets back is “What kind of noises did the penguins make, and did they seem like happy noises?” I know that penguins make noises, and I kind of know what they sound like, but is it based on their feelings?

Dr. David Ainley makes some careful notes about his precious colony!

The Blog of Inner Planets
This page is all about the inner three planets, Mercury, Venus, and the Earth:
Mercury- Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. Even though it’s the closest, its 36 million miles from the sun. A year on Mercury takes 88 Earth days, even though one day is 59 days. Believe it or not, Mercury is not the hottest planet, Because it has no atmosphere to keep heat in. Still, it can get up to 800*F and drop way low to -350*F.
Moving on to Venus, the second planet from the sun. Venus is not a fun planet. Its atmosphere is made up of carbon dioxide, ammonia, and sulfuric acid. It is the hottest planet because its atmosphere traps the sun’s heat creating a mega-greenhouse effect. The atmosphere on Venus is also 90 times more pressure than Earth.
