Joe Flood This week my class and I have been going to talk with Joe Flood a specialist in FDC. He talked about drugs and alcohol and the way it impacted his life. Before being an alcoholic he owned a hotel but then he turned his life around. He lost his hotel, his family left him and he had no home and slept on the streets. He could only take 1 shower a month because there was no place to bath. And he didn’t tell us why he lost those things but he told us how.
But he didn’t just talk about himself he talked about other people and how they died or got seriously hurt from alcohol and drugs. He told us there was one girl who crashed a party and they had beer at the party. So she drank about four and she said she needed to lay down. So they let her “Sleep it off” on the stairs while her friends who also crashed the party stepped over her. Once the party was over she never woke up. She died from alcohol overdose.
He also talked about Marijuana. He said that if we boys take it we would lose our testosterones and girls who took it would lose the fatty tissue around the future baby. All and all it was very interesting that people could die from alcohol overdose.
