This eighth grade class is using the most modern medium and transferring our writing skills from the classroom to a public forum- the blog. They've created blogs that are based in topics that they have chosen, and are given a weekly prompt designed to view their subject in a new and unique way.

My blog has to do with Sharing, Collaborating, and Participation in many ways. For one...with the sharing. I share my ideas and things that I know with people everywhere whenever they look at my blog. So sharing things that I know would benefit people with things that they don't know. So then when they read my blog, they will know something they probably didn't know. So that would be how sharing would have to do with my blog.
Now Collaborating, my blog works with other people and i work with other people's blogs in a lot of ways. We all look at eachother's blogs and give information about eachothers blogs. We also tell what the person can work on to make their blog better than it is at that moment. And we can all comment on them saying things that we like and what to keep on their blog and what not to keep. It counts as participating because we must do our blogs in Mr. Rezac's class for participation. Doing the articles and working on them at home or at school is participating in what we have to do for the class. This class is almost over though and we will no longer be using these blogs. Unless someone in the class really wants to. There will be more students though in our next trimester. They will be participating in the class with their blogs by doing them.

So I am here to talk about the song 'That's What You Get' by Paramore. You can get this song on iTunes and hear it on their CD 'Riot' which you can get at a store near you. Now, the lyrics for this song mean something to me. They may mean other things to other people cause everyone has their own opinions, but don't judge a song or band if you haven't even heard them before.
I think that Hayley Williams explains a lot of things that she needs to get out in most of her songs. For example in the song Misery Business. About a girl getting a guy that had just ended a relationship with his ex. Well, to me, the song That's What You Get explains how a girl and a guy are having problems with eachother and the girl is getting blamed for things that she probably didn't do. In the chorus it sings...That's what you get when you let your heart win...I think that it means that if you put yourself in a position where your heart gets in 'control' of you and you don't know what to do. Then you have to deal with the consequences that will come sooner or later.

So we all have our favorite top songs and videos. Have someone ever asked you why you like that song and you just say I don't know I just do. Well I' like that. I'm going to tell you about my top 10 songs that I like.
My number 1 song would be Fences by Paramore. I'm not sure why but i just love this song. It's got a really good beat which I like. A lot of my favorite songs are by Paramore.
Number 2: Love Story by Taylor Swift. I like this one because it's such a sweet song and I love how it has to do with Romeo and Juliet. Here's the video::
I love the song Just A Dream by Carrie Underwood. That would be my #3 because the video is so sad. The song sort of explains what you would feel when someone who is special to you goes to war and dies.
The 4th song on my top ten song is probably Decode by Paramore. This song is on the Twilight soundtrack. Which is actually becoming a movie on November 21st! I could listen to this song over and over again. And like I said, I'm a huge paramore fan. =]
FIVE- The Flood by Escape The Fate (ETF). This song is insane and so is the video. Such rock music like this should be shared. I absolutely love this song! I love this band! If you haven't even heard about this song then maybe you should try listening to them. They are really good. I know a lot of my friends are like oh well i don't like that kind of music and then they listen to it and are inlove with it. So give it a try...
6 ------>Shake It by Metro Station. This song is so energetic! I love it. My four friends went to go see Metro Station in concert. I didn't go with though. But this song is so fun to listen to and just make a crazy dance to.
The 7th song would be Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin. I know this is a really old song but it's so soothing and it's really long. I think one version is 7 minutes and another is 8 minutes. Which can be kind of confusing. And I know a lot of Led Zeppelin songs cause I've listened to them since I was born.
Number 8 >>>This one is Pain by Three Days Grace. I don't really know why, but i like this song and the band. Three Days Grace is so..i don't know how to explain it...but it's really exciting to listen too.
NINE~ Misery Business by Paramore. When Hayley Williams sang this song at the VMA's she was so wild and crazy. Just like this song. I like this song because the lyrics actually explain something. And I always get crazy and hyper when I hear this song. =D
And Last but not least...Number 10! Which would be Stay Together For the Kids by Blink 182. Now Blink 182 has also been a band that I have listened to forever! My cousins actually got me into them. Their songs either mean something like this one, or they are just silly songs they just decided to write. They are still really good and I really suggest you listen to them even though they aren't really a band anymore.

I have heard most of these songs and they are all really good. You can probably find some of them on iTunes if not, all of them. And you can also pre-order the Soundtrack on Stephanie Meyer's Home page. www.stepheniemeyer.com. OR...
Another album that had just come out actually is This War Is Ours from Escape The Fate. That had come out on October 21. It has 11 songs on the CD and if you are a EFT fan then I highly suggest that you go and buy this CD if you haven't already. EFT is a really good band and I actually like their music. Even if your not into this type of music, you can atleast give it a listen! You can order is online at amazon.com or at a store. Whichever one you prefer. Watch out for Escape The Fate's World Tour.
WOW! Does that Keith Urban have perfect timing. Just when the economy starts to head downhill, fans have less disposable income for concerts, and shows are being canceled left and right, he comes along with a solution — a concert DVD packed with 18 songs plus some cool outtakes and bonus footage. So now instead of paying $300 or so for a front row seat, you can pay $14.98 and get almost the same experience from the comfort of your own couch. You’ll see his guitar, piano and banjo chops. You’ll hear his impeccable voice. And you’ll almost feel like you were there. It’s coming to a Wal-Mart near you on Nov. 11. So be sure to mark your calender for this new break through!

Okay, so we all know that our economy isn't really doing that well right now at the moment...and the economy being bad is causing many business' to go out of business. Things like gas prices are going up. and that's not helping anyone get anywhere that they need to go. The movie business isn't doing so well. And producers used to be able to get investors to throw a few million dollars at a project, now those investors are being more cautious. Also, they spend the money on their movie sets and making the movie. Which is actually getting to be a difficult thing.
So, the music industry...is doing just as bad at the movie buisness. Now that people are having less money to buy CD's and buy songs on itunes for their MP3's. So what do you think will happen? Yep, that's right. It's going to sink even more than it ever has. And that will really bug a lot of people who need their music and want to get their latest stuff on their MP3's and to listen in the car or something. So now, if people don't buy anything in the music industry then producers and artists won't get the money that they need and no one will be able so buy anything that they sell which could make their buisness go down.
Also, Apple will have less money which means less money for iPods, which is usually what people spend their money on at Apple. And as for concerts...now that people don't have the money to spend on music they can't buy concert tickets which is going to hurt every artist. Now, bands and singers are on their big tours and now finding out that their fans now can't afford the price of their tickets, that's bad news for them. The fans will actually become more picky about who they want to see in concert which will hurt the smaller bands more.
So obviously, when the economy is bad like this it isn't just making gas prices go higher. It hurts all buisness' including the music industry.

Adults have a different perspective than teens and young adults do. Adults have listened to all the older music, which isn't bad, but they don't know any of the new stuff. Most teens listen to all the new stuff the past years. Music has changed over the years from when adults listen to it.
Teens see music as a way to be yourself and describe how their feeling. If they are sad they will listen to the more sad songs. If in a happy mood they listen to the usual songs that people listen to daily on the radio. Some adults may do the same but usually not a lot. Teens like to just have fun with music. They keep up with all the new songs and such. Most adults are still behind on all the new music. They think that this generation of music is interesting and some are bad influences on children and teens and they don't like that.
Adults may just listen to music in their car, while they're cleaning things, ect. Teens listen to it anywhere anytime. While they are doing homework, on the computer, talking on the phone, and many other things. Even just cause they feel like listening to it! Much more different then what adults see. Teens know that the music is a bad influence on most things but they just don't like to pay attention to what the song is really talking about.

Hi, I'm Andrea and I go to school in the Midwest. What can you be offered in this blog? I am going to offer you all the things about music. I will tell you what new songs have come out, any new albums, and new artist. Also, if anyone has made a new music video. I will talk about that. If any music artists have won an award at any music award then you can find out what had happened here.
You should probably come back to this blog if you are a music fan. If not, that's cool. But here you will find what you need to know. I will have things that you would find interesting. And if I am talking about a band or artist that you are not interested in, then don't worry. I'll do as much as I can in my blog for music that everyone will like. The benefits that you can get from this blog is that you can actually know more about music and discover and find new bands. One's that you haven't known about until now. So when people say something like..."Oh yeah did you hear their new song?" you won't feel left out and not know what their talking about. Was anyone able to see the new Escape The Fate video?
Thank you for taking your time to read this. I hope you will come back.
