 Abricadian's Journey to California My mining team had many consequences just to get to Golden Gulch. It had taken two tries to get to Golden Gulch. On our first try we had used a wagon to try getting to Golden Gulch, but our oxen had starved to death because we went in March so the oxen didn’t have enough food to eat. It was very expensive to get to Golden Gulch. Our first try had cost us 40 gold nuggets to get to California. Our second try had been 48 gold nuggets to get to California. Totally, 88 gold nuggets had been spent out of the 100 we were given. We still had enough gold nuggets to go one more time, but we had already made it. On our second try we had gone through Cape Horn. Cape Horn was very exciting. It was exciting because the ride was bumpy. I feel my mining team will have fun, and be rich.
