This was a project I had to do in Art. We had to select a weather theme and make a collague of it. I chose this theme because it is a very beautiful time of year when you wake up after the first snow (hint) the view is breath taking. I love this season because I rarely get sick and sometimes I have no school. If you think you know what this theme is give me a answer in the comments.

In art class we were making weather collage. I start out making a desert layout going from the sand desert to the largest desert in the world which is the frozen landscape of the antarctic. I didn't notice that when I put the border going from the orange to the blue that it would turn green. So when I messed up on that I had to be creative and come up with a new lay out so I made it a summer scene with a light blue beach.
I used pipe cleaners to make the suns rays and tiles to make a texture for the water. The glossy appearance came from the modge podge which is a kind of glue that is glossy. I used light brush strokes to get the whisped appearanced. I used many techniques.

I chose to do snow for my weather because I wanted to do splatter paint and also it's winter! Snow is light and happy and I thought it would be easy to express. I thought a clear blue backround and white fluffy snow ould look great and give off a snow day feeling.
The white splatter paint gives the affect of snow falling from the sky. I cut out paper snowflakes and printed out snow landscapes. Also tissue paper looks like snow. I used silver glitter also to make the poster brighter.

I chose weather feature to draw because I love lighting storms and we havn't had one in such a long time. The little thing in the middle is representing the eye of the storm. There are a couple different things representing the streaks of lightning in this picture. There is the painted streaks on the bored, there is the gold glitter that is on top of glue that i put down to on the bored, then there is the tissue paper that I glued down onto the bored. The black squares and circles are representing that it is dark. I do know that they happen during the day but in my mind i picture a typical lightning storm at night.

LIGHTNING BOLT!
In art class we have been doing mixed media weather projects. Our teacher gave a presentation of differant weather to inspire us and help us chose what type of weather we would like to portray in our mixed media presentations.
I chose to do lightning because it was bold and it really impressed me. It also looked simple and easy to do. For my backround I used a mix of black and purple paint to create a stormy, angry sky. I wanted a simple thing which stood out so I used white paint and glittter to make the bolt. Finally using modge podge (something that makes the picture shiny) I pasted a picture from the internet on my board and made yellow lightenting bolts to border the picture.

My class had an art assignment to create a collage based on a weather or climate theme. I chose to do a rain forest theme becuase I thought it would be and interesting and fun background to paint. I also thought that there were many interesting features in the rainforest that i could incorperate in the collage.

I wanted to make this weather art about snow because of all of the snow storms we have been having. I used glue and glitter to make the snowflakes, tissue paper for texture, different paint colors, tiles, pipe cleaners and magazine pictures. Looking at all of the snow outside was very inspiring as I created this piece of art.

What made me think of this design is when it is nice and warm. I love the tropics, and the clear blue water that makes me want to jump into it. So I took my image of the tropics and used it for my weather art assignment

This is my interpretation of a sunset. I was inspired to do this because most of my friends were doing rain storms or snow storms, so I decided to do something a little different. I also did this because I love sunsets. I think they are so beautiful.

I did orange rain because i think that orange is just sucha cool color and that rain sometimes reflects in rainbows and can be different colors and i wanted it to be different then just regular blue rain. I put the animal prints on it to make your eye move around the page and the rain kind of reflects via it. The blue backround just shows that it has something to do with water.

I made this because it was about a lightning storm. I used paint to make the backround. I splatter painted the backround and painted the clouds. I then put blue glitter all over it and painted lighting bolts. This was on a fairly large peice of cardboard.

For this starry night photo, I used many different materials. I was inspired to do this theme because I like the look of a clear night sky. I learned how to use mosh posh and used it when i put on the pictures. It's whjen u put a mixture of glue and water and then lather it on both sides of the picture. I also used tissue paper and soothing colored tiles. And I also used waste ink from the printer. The glitter made it look starry.

I decided to do northern and southern lights because i think they are beautiful. There is so much to learn about northern and southern lights. There are so many colors, so it is very easy to be creative. My favorite part of making my art was the modge podge. Modge podge is something you put over pictures to make them glossy with a nice finish. And that is some of the reasons why I liked doing this project.

I wanted to make a tropical storm I used paint and then I took the paint brush and painted the background orange. I took the paint brush again and splattered paint on the orange. Then I found glue and sparkles and put a border around the edge. I chose warm colors because a tropical storm is hot and crazy.I found pipe cleaners and some cloth and I glued them on so it looked like it was really on the painting I made.

This picture is a still life of objects placed on a table. This was a very fun art project I did because we got to use glue to make it really pop out and look creative. I used different color Pastels and on every object I did, I outlined it with glue. The poka dots on the drawing also have glue with pastel over it. I hope you enjoy looking at my still life!

This piece of art work shows warm and calm weather at a tropical place. I used gold glitter to make the art work pop out, and tissue paper the make the 3D look. I also printed and cut out many images to show what type of weather I was trying to show. The palm tree in the bottom right corner shows that it has the setting of a warm, tropical place. I used tiles and tissue paper to make the palm tree. This art assignment was very interesting and fun to work on.

This is a picture of a blizzard at twilight. My inspiration for this is from my love of snow and December. The way I made it was from swirling and splattering white paint (came out pink from combining with purple paint) and using tissue paper, white tiles and silver glitter. Even though it looks like an immature painting, it is actually an abstract weather painting, made with lots of love.

I was inspired to have this theme because when I see a rainbow, I think that they are really cool and pretty.
To make this, I used many materials. One thing I used was pipe cleaners to make things pop off of the board. Another thing I used was tissue paper. I crumpled it up and glued it onto the board either flat or 3-D. Another material I used was sparkles. The sparkles make it eye-catching and make it shiny. Also, I used a little bit of cloth to add texture. I used little ceramic pieces and hot glued them to the board to add texture. And last but not least...I used paint! The background is all paint , which is a lot better than if the background was white. The paint deffinetly adds a lot more color to this art. I mixed these in many ways. One is I glued tissue paper to the board and then put a light layer of glitter over it.

This is a still life of common objects. Our art teacher set up a table and told us to look through a viewfinder to see what we wanted to draw. The viewfinder was a piece of paper with a hole for us to pick the angle to draw. I picked this angle because i liked how the penguin was sitting in the bucket and how the basketball was placed.
First I drew with pencil then I went over the lines with elmer's glue to make texture.

How I did it was I first painted the background and painting the big lighting. Then I took tissue paper and made the clouds and the smaller lighting. Afterward I print a picture of lighting a glued it on with Mod Pog.

What inspired me to do this was that I knew it was a major part of my grade. I knew that there was a surplus of darks and yellows so I decided to make a collage of a stormy day.
Making this collage was fairly easy. I just took glue, tissue paper, and paints and whipped this together pretty fast. Added some glitter and some shiny glue stuff to give it a shine.

I chose to do lightning for my weather collage because Ms. Bond showed our class different weather videos and pictures, lightning stood out the most to me. I thought it would look interesting to show other weather happening with the lightning such as, rain and snow.
I painted the backaround purple first because sometimes the actual bolt has a purple tint. Then I painted yellow lightning bolts and splotches of paint for the snow. I used sparkles for rain drops. The tissue paper to me, added affect. I chose yellow tissue paper to match up with the lightning bolts, and blue to go with the rain and snow. The final step I did was modge podge, that is when you mix glue and water together and paint that on the printed pictures.
