Planet's Oldest Person Turns 115 (N)
There is an old women that just turned 115 years old. They celebrated her birthday in Los Angeles. Maria de Jesus was 115 when she died. Ms. Baines is now the oldest person in the world. She was born in 1894, and her dad was a slave. Her daughter got killed when she was just a toddler. Ms.Baines had a lot of energy in 1912 when she was 18 and the when the Titanic ship sank. She got in to the Guinness Book of Records, and she also got a letter from Barack Obama telling her congratulations and wishing her a happy birthday. Barack Obama told her on TV "Happy Birthday." Never in her did she drink or smoke. She is going to meet Barack Obama next year.
That is so cool. I hope that she is still alive when she is 118. I wish her good luck, and hope that she is still going to be alive.
