 My Trip to Westminster Woods My favorite part of the trip to Westminster Woods was when Ocean, my naturalist took us on a night hike up to the cargo net. She let us get on the cargo net and look up at the stars. Ocean had a laser pointer that went 5 miles far so she could point at a specific star. After we got off the cargo net, she said that if we wanted to, we could go on a solo hike! I looked around and saw that nobody volunteered to go first. I was going to go with a partner, but when I saw no hands raised to go first, I decided to go by myself. When I am old and gray I will remember going in the tree house with Christian and pretending we were having a war. I will also remember fighting Mr.LaMarr on the cargo net. The best thing I learned was that you are in the dark and you light a candle, close one eye, and stare at the candle with your open eye for about a minute, you will have night vision when you open the eye that was closed and cover the eye that was open. I also learned that if you have Winto Green Lifesavers and you chomp on them in the dark, they glow. My favorite trip at Westminster was when Ocean took us to catch bugs at the creek so we could study them. It was fun because I liked going in the water and catching the bugs. Westminster Woods is a great place to go with your teacher and classmates. I guarantee that you will love it if you go there. Your teacher will love it too.
