We have all selected our topics, and are ready to begin researching different native American groups or tribes.  We will learn through different resources, including the internet.

Mrs. Phillips, our librarian, has recommended the site below.

Christmas Around the World

Article posted December 8, 2009 at 03:59 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1881

In the next two weeks, we will be researching the ways Christmas and other holidays are celebrated around the world.  Each student will present the customs and traditions that are different or unique to the country they select.  Then they will share one characteristic of that country's celebration, such as a craft, food, game, or song.

Here are some links that will help in your research.

For our final project, we are going to be studying the 50 states in our great country.  We will discover facts about their climate, economy, resources, and the people who live there.  Of course, we will concentrate on our own great state of Missouri!

This website is a great starting point:

Article posted December 5, 2008 at 04:49 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1103

Our next two weeks will be spent studying Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, and many other holidays that are celebrated this time of year.  The students will be presenting to their class how a country observes one celebration, and sharing a craft, food, game, or song from that celebration.

Here are three links you might want to use as a reference.
