Michael Jordan Biography

Hello basketball players, Michael Jordan fans, NBA viewers, or anyone who wants to read a random blog about someone writing about Michael Jordan. Below is a biography that I did four years ago and decided to post as a historical perspective of what was accepted in grade four that isn’t anymore. This version is basically unedited sine 2004, and judging that I got an A on this project while there are clearly many areas that could be improved, it’s fun to compare it to grade eight A-marked-work.

Michael Jordan is one of the best basketball players in the world! His height is 6 feet, 6 inches. Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the fourth of five children, and has two older brothers and an older and younger sister. Jordan's father worked at an electric plant while his mother worked full-time at a bank. His parents worked hard to provide him and his siblings with a comfortable lifestyle. Jordan played baseball, basketball and football when he was a kid. He wanted to play on a baseball team before he tried basketball . When he was a kid his older brother Lary kept beating him at basketball so he decided that he would become a better player. In 1978 Jordan tried to make the Laney High School basketball team in Wilmington, North Carolina. He got cut from the team but that motivated him to become a great basketball player.

His basketball career began when he accepted a basketball scholarship from the University of North Carolina. He scored the winning basket during the 1982 NCAA championship game against the Hoys in Georgetown. Jordan Jordan was chosen "College Player of the Year" for the 1982-1984 season.

In 1984 Jordan played on the US Men's Olympic Basketball Team. He led the team to a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Because of Jordan's high scoring, the US Team won all 8 Olympic Basketball games.

2 months after the Olympics, Jordan started playing professionally with the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls won 3 world championships thanks to Jordan's basketball skills. Jordan got the name Air Jordan because of his acrobatic skills.

Jordan won several awards in his career. He retired from basketball twice! He finished his career with 32,292 points. His career average was the best in NBA history.

He tried playing professional baseball as an outfielder for the Barrington Barons but after 1 season he realized he wasn't meant for that sport because he didn't do well.

He decided to try acting and starred in a Bugs Bunny movie called "Space Jam". He also helped to sell Nike shoes because of his great reputation.

He decided to retire again so he could give his attention to his wife Juanita and their 3 children (Jeffry, Marcus, and Jasmine).

One of his famous quotes is "I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying".

About the Blogger
My name is Kevin G/Warrior of X. I do this blog because I have to, but I occasionally find it interesting to test out my writing and HTML skills. I will provide a completely custom background for a small fee, if you want to be cool. My interests are building stuff, blowing stuff up, bike riding, playing tennis, and working with computers. I should have my stainless steel background and some games I have made up on this blog soon.
