Compare big news story
The big news story that I chosen is about 25 people that died in a forest fire in Australia.
So here is the Toronto Star article.
"Wildfires kill 25 in Australlia" by Rohan Sullivan.
25 people died and the toll could rise over 40.
The drought in southern Australia is the worst in a century and bushes are extra dry, the fire explosions have reched a record of 47 C.
The fires were so massive they were visible from space.
"The whole township is pretty much on fire," Peter Mitchell, a resident of the town of Kinglake.
Now it for the ABC Australian news story.
"25 confirmed dead in Victorian Fires" by ?.
25 people confirmed dead toll expected to rise to the 40s.
Six people are known to have lost their lives at Kinglake, four at Wandong, three at Strathewen and one at Clonbinane, all north of Melbourne.
People getting scared, even the Prime Minister, says that the fires are completely shocking and people are very concerned.
Changing weather conditions are making fire direction and behaviour unpredictable and many local roads are cut. Visibility is poor and some roads have been blocked by fallen trees.
The article had eye-whitness accounts about the fire.
Now what I find to be more biased is the Australian newspaper because it has more eye-whitness accounts and more emotion to the fire and the deaths.
While on the Toronto Star they where only caring for the problem.
The Australian newspaper had more articules about the problem and has much more detail then the Toronto Star or probabley any other newspaper.
