Halloween

Halloween

It was Halloween night, the birds singing, the sun was shining and-what? Oh yeah, sorry. I’ll start over.

It was Halloween night, the birds were dead, the sun was covered by a black cloud and I was shivering in the night air.

How was that? Great, huh! I knew that introduction would do the trick! What? Oh, yeah, the story. (Sorry)

I felt something brush my side, I jerked around, expecting to see a murderer about to strike, but all I saw was-

Pretty cool so far, huh? Suspenseful too! I bet you are all shaking in your boots right now. Oh. I see. You want to hear the story, right? Um, well…

-the blackness of the dark forest. I heard a strange noise in the distance, kind of like a grey wolf. When all of the sudden something-

So… like it? I know I do, but then again I’m the author. Well? Well? Well? You want to hear the end of the story? Oh, yeah, the story. I haven’t finished, have I?

-jumped upon me, howling. I tried to fling it of but it was too strong. I felt claws puncture my skin. I tried to scream for help, but only air came out of my mouth. Wait, I thought, these claws are much too small to belong to a wolf… “Spot!” I cried, throwing off the small puppy. It was my imagination playing tricks on me down on the ground. I thought he was a giant wolf, silly me! I-

What? Why don’t you like it? It has too soft of an ending? What do you mean, ‘It’s mushy gushy?’ I made sure there were no blood and guts in it. Why are you rolling your eyes? I’m sooo giving up this whole author thing, good-night!
