Favorite sculptures

My favorite Sculpture on our field trip to the university was a ring shaped tunnel, with windows and doors. When you looked into the sculpture the doors looked like they were getting smaller but they were all the same size. When we went into the sculpture, we tried to fit as many people in a window as possible. The record before we got there was 6 people but we got almost 9 people. Annabelle Green, Tweety, Reepicheep, Pigeon, Bex, Alice, Arwen, Swindle, and Thimble tack. Pigeon wasn’t in the window all the way, which makes 8 ½ people in that 1 window. In was rainy so it was really wet. My second favorite sculpture was a weird slanted tunnel that looked like it only had 3 walls but it had four. We were there while the students were still in school. So while we were walking around campus there were college students there watching us as we walked by. The sculpture was made so that if there was an earthquake while we were in the sculpture one of the walls would have fallen on the wall we were leaning against and squished us. But I still had fun. Well those were my fave sculptures.

Spring Break
By Swindle

Spring break I didn’t go anywhere exciding, but I went to a really cool park. On Monday, my brother, my sister, and I went climbing on the gigantic rocks. The rocks were right off the water. I fell into the ocean and got really WET! The water was cold but it was really fun. I went climbing again and almost fell in but I caught myself. After a little bit we went on some other trails and found some other cool structures of the same rocks. I went a little farther down than my family and found some baby muscles. They weren’t big enough to eat but it was amazing that I found some in the first place. When we left I was really super tired and ready to fall asleep. To my disadvantage we went hiking by a lake. It was almost 2 MILES until we got to the lake. I barely made it. But when I got there I thought it was really ugly and plaid. I was furious at my mom but she seemed to be happy so I didn’t explode until I got home.
On Tuesday, we went to an indoor pool that my brother had been dying to go to weeks before. It was really boring until my friend and her mom came. She brought tons and tons of stuff to play with. My favorite was a monkey noodle. It was brown with a monkey on the back holding a banana. We were at the pool for hours. When it was time to go we were saying bye and the moms had a surprise for us. I was going to have a sleepover at her house! We made our own personal pizzas and went to dairy queen and got blizzards, I got an Oreo cookie blizzard. When we got back to her house we watched Mean Girls. Then we played truth or dare. At 3:00 am we fell asleep. At 8:00 we got up. I had to go home.
For the rest of Wednesday was a blur. We went to another park but this was a different one. It had a lot of trail to go hiking and biking. To my luck my mom wanted to go hiking, but my dad wasn’t there yet so my neighbor, my brother and I went biking. While my mom was getting my biking my brother started down the trail. The very beginning was a hill. It wasn’t too steep but steep enough for my brother to have a hard time getting down. Before my mom had my bike out my brother was staring down the hill. Next to the hill was a river that was over flowing at the time. At the very end of the trail my brother started to turn towards the river. I started sprinting for him. Luckily I got him before he fell into the river. That was the end of the day for us. When we got home I fell asleep right away and right through dinner.

On Thursday, I slept through half of it. At 1:00 pm I woke up. I went into my hot tub in my back yard. I was in there for an hour and a half. When I got back inside I ate lunch, after lunch I fell back asleep.

When I woke up on Friday, my sister had soccer practice. We were shopping for stuff to go in my room. First we went to target and I found an alarm clock, desk chair, and a lamp. After my sister’s soccer practice we went home and found a place to put all our new stuff. That took a while. When we were done it was time for dinner. After dinner we went to bed because we had early soccer games in the morning.

On Saturday, We all had soccer games. My sister’s was boring, my brother’s was interesting, but mine was plain old tiring. There was only 1 SUB! I was only out once. We won 2 to 1. We were against Ferndale. It was kind of easy game. When we got home it was off to bed again because tomorrow was Easter.

On Sunday, First thing in the morning I was at Church. There was so many people there we had to sit on the floor, but we were in the front. After church we went to my mom’s friend’s house. A couple minutes after we got there my shin started hurting. My dad thought I was faking but after 20 minutes he knew that it hurt. We rushed home and put ice on it but that only hurt more. When we put heat on it felt a lot better. I was in a hurry to get to sleep.
That’s the end of my spring break

Snowball fight

Ice Cold snow
“Who through that?” asked one of the children. Where here at Saint Dragon Elementary School where there having a snowball fight. “The snows being throne every where.” Said one of the Parents. “There are tons of kids being sent home because of wetness.” Just a little bit ago the duties started being buried. I told you the first graders were devils. I hope everybody’s ready for the one and only principal to come out of his hiding spot. There goes the biggest one of all. “It took a lot of time but I was just surprised that I was able to get it thrown.” Jim tells us.
Warning
The Principal just came out

Ultimate Snow day

Article posted January 5, 2009 at 02:15 PM GMT-8 • comment (2) • Reads 8015

ad an ultimate snow day the day would be packed with fun and games. The first thing I would do is I would go sledding. Sledding is fun for me because my driveway is super steep so when we make it down our driveway we go all the way up our neighbor’s driveway. We also have a really fun hill to sled down in our back yard. Even though its fun it’s really dangerous because there are two cliffs on each side of the hill. On one side if you go to far there’s a river so you have to be careful. The next thing I would do is having a snowball fight. The full thing about a snowball fight is making the wall of snow to hide in while the snowballs are being thrown at you. My favorite thing about a snow day is going inside and having hot coco.

The best part of winter break

Article posted January 5, 2009 at 09:41 AM GMT-8 • comment (2) • Reads 8084

The best thing about my weekend was snowboarding.  It was the best because I got to go with my mom and my sister.  Also because I was a  blizzard and windy, but my favorite thing about snowboarding was while I was putting the snowboard on I was just standing up and the wind was blowing really hard and the wind pushed my to the hill and I fell hard on my back. It was fun because I made it all the way down the hill and I made all the turns without falling until I got to the bottom. Then we were going to go on the lift but they had to make sure that all the people and kids got of safely so we decided not to. So we went into the lift and got some hot coco and some lunch. After all the day was really fun. Even though the weather was miserable.

My Poor Friend

One day I called my friend Samantha and asked her if she had watched the movie The Knotted yarn. She said she hadn’t seen the movie yet but her mom picked it out at the movie store. I told her I liked the movie. After we talked a while I skated over to her house, then stopped at a stop sign. When I saw her I waved at her and tripped over the sidewalk. When I got up I rubbed my knee and tasted the blood. When I got inside her house the floors were wet and I slipped and grabbed my friend’s pants and they fell down. Then she fell over and her dog whizzed on her face. When he wagged his tail it hit her face. Her neighbor stared at them through the open door because her pants were down. Her brother cheered from the top of the stairs. Her mother baked cookies and peeled them off the pan. That night we both dreamed that some one tracked them down.

Thanksgiving dinner

Article posted November 20, 2008 at 11:13 AM GMT-8 • comment • Reads 7565

On thanksgiving I was part of making 2 different salads. The first salad I made was a fruit salad. The fruit in the salad was ripe and delicious in the salad was margarine oranges, small kiwi fruit, apples and bananas. The whipping cream was the sweet sensation that pulled it all together. When it was done that whip cream had covered the fruit so all it looked like was lumps of whip cream. I also made a green salad. When we sat down at the table there were tons of turkey, dark and light meat. The mash potatoes melted in your mouth. The creaminess of the mash potatoes and the richness of the gravy was delicious. I was glad I didn’t have to eat the green beans. The sparkling cider was tart. I got to have as much as I wanted. The desert was spectacular. There was apple pie, pumpkin pie, apple cobbler, blueberry cobbler and my favorite, black berry cobbler.

1)”No” mom and dad shout at once.

2)’What if…” My voice trails off.

3)”You said that all ready” I murmured.

4)”That would be awesome.” I cry.

5)”Why not” I groan.

Febuary 4th,

Dear Journal,

Today I was passing by my classroom and the lights went out. I told my teacher and she jumped. Her dress went up. She was dressing a doll. The doll was already dressed. I reached for her doll. She slaped my hand. I passed by her desk. The light went out again. This time she kept jumping. I started reaching for the doll. Then it cracked.
