The important thing about a pencil is that you can write with it. It could be different colors. But the important thing about a pencil is that you write with it.

Railin

Peacock crest - Both males (peacocks) and females (peahens) have a crest of feathers on top of their heads. Next time you are at the zoo, be sure to try and find these roaming residents.

Red river hog ears - Your red river hog ears have long black and white tassels. They can fluff out as a defense mechanism to make you look bigger and intimidate predators.

Chilean flamingo beak - Your Chilean flamingo beak is used like a filter to pull micro-organisms out of the water. Scoop, drain, and dinner is served.

Octopus arms - Can you imagine tasting…with your arms? Your octopus tentacles are covered suckers that are sensitive not only to touch, but also to taste, so can you grope around for food in small, dark crevices.

Rodrigues bat wings - Your Rodrigues bat wings are very different from bird wings. Bird wings are made like human arm bones. But your bat wings are more like really long fingers. Creepy long fingers!

Timber rattlesnake - Did you know that every time you shed your timber rattlesnake skin, another rattle segment is added to the base of your rattle? So while humans have rattles as babies, rattlesnakes get them as they get older!
