The Assembly
This week was so cool we got to a Hawaiian Assembly. There was a band and some Hawaiian dancers. One guy from the band talked to use, taught us Hawaiian language and he showed us some Hawaiian dances. It was so fun the funniest part was when he took Phillip G. and had the dancers paint his face. Then the assembly ended. It was a really cool day.

I did my biography on Harriet Tubman. She was born in 1820 her exact birthday was never found and she died on March 10, 1913.
Harriet Tubman always wanted freedom but she was a slave. Then one day she heard her brothers talking about the Under Ground Rail Road.
After hearing this she went to a friend and asked if she would help escape to freedom. The woman did and Harriet got to Freedom. Once Harriet got to freedom she went back more and more, brought over 300 slaves to freedom, and never got caught. Other slaves called her Moses. Harriet continued to go back until her death.
I think that Harriet was very brave to help all the slaves to freedom.
I also think that she guts just to go back.

The first day of school was so fun! I got to see all my friends again. It felt
like I had been in school for a few weeks. It was cool meeting our new
teachers.Everything seemed just like it had last year. Do school work , have
lunch, have recess, do more work and then go home.
