Inauguration On Tuesday, January 20, 2009 Barack Obama was sworn in to the presidency. He became the 44th president of the United States. He made real history for being the first African-American president. His wife is Michelle Obama and his two kids Malia and Sasha were there to support him. It was a very important day.
