It is the last day of school and I can not believe how fast it went.  I will miss my teachers and my friends.  We learned a lot of different things.  My favorite thing was learning about crayfish.  I hope that everyone has a great Summer.

My History Space

Article posted May 31, 2009 at 05:44 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 948

My History Space was a great project.   My favorite part of the project was finding out about Robert La Salle. Doing research was challenging because it was something new for me.  The next thing that I want to accomplish is to learn about another  person like Robert La Salle.  The thing that made him special  was that he was a king and an explorer.   That's the next thing I want to do.

I Declare This, King George

The colonists wrote the Declaration of  Independence.  People have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  If I were writing it, I would write the people have the right to their own money.  People work so hard for their money and it is so unfair that the takes so much of it.  That's what I would write.

Whose Side?

Before the British and French came this nation there were Native Americans living here.  The Iroquios and the Algonquians lived here.  They took over the land by surrounding the Native Americans in the middle.  They also attacked them with guns and snipers.  The Native Americans wear scared because they never saw weapons like that in their lives and they only had spears and bow and arrows.  I think it is unfair because the British and the French were more advanced and the took advantage of them

May Flower

I am happy the tests are over.  I am looking forward to May and Spring.  My  favorite subject is crayfish. I liked it because it was really neat to hold the crayfish and Mr.Dugger showed us where to hold it and how to hold the crayfish.  Mr.Dugger told us if you hold it on that spot it will not pinch you with it's pinchers.  Another thing that I liked about crayfish is the strenghth tests. My crayfish held on for 126 seconds.  I still want to do well for the year and at the end of the yaer I want a puppy.

What to write in the web

Charlotte uses  her web to descibe Wilbur.  Charlotte would descibe me by writing the word "smart."  She would call me smart because I try hard and I never give up.  I also care for people and help my friends if I can.  I  hope Charlotte writes on her web that I am smart.

Students Choice

My favorite holiday is Christmas because everybody is happy.  People are happy because Christ is born.   We see our family and we open presents.  Also I like the bookfair because there were so many great books that I like.   The books that I bought were two Pokemon books and a FBI book. I wanted to also get Shredderman number 4 but they did not have that book.  These are my student choice answers.

It

This year we learned about the Native Americans.  The most important thing we learned was about their culture and how they took care of their children.  The way they took care of their children is by carrying them on their backs when they were working.   I would tell the world  that these people were very hardworking.   Next I would like to learn about the Native Australians,  Alborigians.  I think that would be fun!!!

Music to our ears

Article posted March 20, 2009 at 12:36 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1167

Our class went to a concert at the Tilles Center.  I thought the orchestra was great and very loud.  My favorite  part was when this 16 year old boy came in the concert. He played the piano  and he played it beautifully.  Next time I want to go in Manhattan to Carnegie Hall and eat at the Russian Tea Room,  it  is next door .  I think we should see the video at the end of school year.
