Room 10 have had a busy term. We have researched about people who have impacted on our lives! We have found out about the pop art of Andy Warhol and completed our own art using his style. The images we used were of our famous people. Now we are starting our dance unit.
Congratulations to the 6 children from Room 10 who are representing our school at the Interschool Cross Country - we are fantastic runners and competitors!!

Room 26 and Room 10 have been doing buddy creating and buddy writing. This week they created a creature which they published. Their creature had to have interesting features and skills. They began their Comic Life publishing on the computer adding article boxes, a heading and speech bubbles for the creature to make a comment. Next week they will be uploading their photos. Great creativeness, Room 10 and Room 26!

Room 10 have nearly finished their papier mache masks which is then leading into a Social Sciences unit on Culture. The children will be looking at different cultures from different countries. They will be writing legends to go with their focus country and transforming these into a play. Using the inquiry approach they will research different types of masks, and create one to use in their play.

The children have been finding their information about animal enrichment toys and have searched using Google. They also sent emails to the Hamilton Zoo, Sea World in San Diego, USA and Sea World in Australia. They have received their replies and are sorting through their information to then start to plan and make their own enrichment toy.
