S waves goes second and it like means secondary. the waves get slower went they get to water. they go through the mantle but not the outer core. There are love waves. They are the fastest surface waves. Rayleigh waves roll along the ground. like most of the shaking in earthquakes is because of it. and lkeee, yeah. thats some of the things i learned about earthquakesss.:D =]=] Article posted March 26, 2010 at 08:09 PM GMT • comment • Reads 4091

Convection is for fluids and gasses.. The hot air and water is higher. Conduction is like for materials.Like metal rods. The molecules like. vibrate or somethin really fast in conduction when something gets way hot. :) Article posted March 3, 2010 at 10:22 PM GMT • comment • Reads 3689

My team decided to time the time it took for the crayons to float after each spoonful of salt. We used three crayons. The first three spoonfuls of salt the crayons did not float, on the fourth spoon two of them floated and it took 37 seconds. On the fifth spoon all of them floated and it took 27 seconds. I thought it was kinda weird that it took so many spoonfuls... Article posted March 3, 2010 at 06:34 PM GMT • comment • Reads 841

But you have to make the water denser by putting something in it like dissolving salt in it. If an object you put in water is denser then water then it will sink, if it isn't denser it will float. Hot water is less dense then cold water. Article posted March 3, 2010 at 06:30 PM GMT • comment • Reads 716

Some of them are the Juan De Fuca, Pacific, North American, Eurasian, Indian-Australian, South America, and the Antarctica plate. They move like 1-3 inches a year. Likeee. a longggggg time ago they were all together and it was called Pangaea. When two of the plates hit against each other it like creates an earthquake. :) Article posted March 3, 2010 at 06:26 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1040
