It’s the end of 4th grade. Blog about something you feel you have really improved on during this year (explain). Tell about something you would like to work on (or continue to work on) in 5th grade (explain).
Finally, tell about something you are excited to do during the summer break and why.

Watch the 2 short videos of our can crushing demonstration from last week and the bursting of the weather balloon as seen on our class blog. Write a blog post (on your own blog) explaining what happened with the can and why that happened, and then explain what caused the weather balloon to burst. Be careful how you start your blog since the videos are not on your blog for others to see.

Read the articles in the National Geographic magazines titled "Danger Zone" and "Extreme Ice." Decide if you would rather be like Carsten Peter studying and photographing volcanoes or like Michele Koppes studying glaciers as a scientist. Give at least 3 meaty reasons why you made your choice using evidence from the article and at least 1 meaty reason why you would not choose the other, again citing evidence from the article.
Make this a polished, finished product (spelling, punctuation, etc.).

Since Spring Break is coming soon . . . if you could travel anywhere in the world for vacation, where would you want to go and tell in detail (and with voice) why you would want to go there. What would you want to do, see, eat, etc.?
