The grade 1's were partnered up today and had to count their snap-cubes and show how they counted the snap-cubes two different ways. The grade ones were instructed to find objects lighter than the textbook, heavier than the textbook and about the same as the textbook. They found some interesting objects! For sharing (show and tell) they were instructed to bring a "need". This particular student brought a balloon because we need the air which is inside the balloon--very creative! Today they got to measure the distance of three race-cars using a ramp, tape and yarn. Straight from the words of a student: "Today math was actually fun!". They were to do some creative writing and imagine what they would build if they could build any type of vehicle. Check out their blogs to see just what they would do...
