Last week the grade 4's were selling jello for $1/cup to raise money for Relay for Life. We all really enjoyed this treat! Good job and great idea grade 4's!!

Track and Field Fun!

The school has just had their annual Track and Field Day! We all had lots of fun and had the absolute perfect weather!!! We all enjoyed some freezies when we were finished with our events. Good job grade 1's!!!!

Pink Shirt Day

We celebrate Anti-Bullying/Pink Shirt Day a couple of weeks ago. All of the students in the school were to draw an anti-bullying poster and one winner was chosen from each grade. Posing in this picture is the winner from grade 1, and she won a Pink Shirt from the Boys and Girls Club of Canada.

2's, 5's and 10's !!!

The grade 1's have just completed another math unit. The focus of this unit was grouping and counting by 2's, 5's and 10's. On this day the grade 1's were working with a partner and grouping their manipulatives in groups of their choice. As a class they decided that counting by 10's is the best because it's faster!!!

Earth Day!

In math we've been practising grouping and counting by 5's and 10's. The grade 1's were partnered up today and had to count their snap-cubes and show how they counted the snap-cubes two different ways.
