Answers for Landmark Games 2011
Dear Landmark Players,
Another remarkable game has concluded. Fifty teams in Primary, Nineteen teams in Challenge. As usual, the clues were well thought out, clever, showed knowledge and understanding of the world, and represented our efferts to connect with each other in global education. And again this year - Mrs. Lowe's group from Western Australia researched the answers to all 50 Landmarks in the Primary Game! In the Challenge Game, Mrs. Miller's Team researched 19 out of 20!
My HUGE thanks to all the Teachers who willingly take on this daunting exercise in academics, technology, and classroom management. We also have many Librarian/Media specialists who manage quite large groups of kids through the project. One of my favortie aspects of Landmark is that the activities and interest go beyond kids working in the classroom to parents and grandparents helping at home.
Goodbye until next year - it has been a great ride!
Terry

Landmark Games 2011 Week Two clues are now posted. Having another three clues to the initial three should help us solve at least some of the landmarks.

All ES teachers and students are registered for the World Education Games. Attached is your child’s individual log-in and password; it works for both games. Online practice is available from now until the actual “Day”. Participating in the competition is not really stressed, but practicing math skills is encouraged.
This site also opens up the world of geography to the children, as they play against students from around the world. Basic information on each country is also provided.
We’ll be accessing the games from school, at times, but certainly are hoping the students will be accessing from home too! Enjoy!!
