Dear readers,
Most people are complaining about bullying in our school. Some of them people take everything too personally and some of them have a point. To all these people I would like to say “stand up for yourselves and don’t be scared!” and for all these bullies I would like to say. “GET A LIFE AND STOP STEALING OTHER PEOPLE’S LIVES!” And please, and I am saying this for everybody! ; Before you say something ask yourselves, is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? Then if it is then go ahead and tell them. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
Truly yours,
R&B

Dear mom and dad,
I think that deforestation is threatening our planet and as well as our lives, so I think that we should do something about our situation, and blow life into the ashes.
There are many valid reasons that we need to pursue in order to stop pollution in general and deforestation in particular.
First of all,
Trees help stop global warming by reducing green house gases, which makes it much safer and much cleaner to breathe. Trees improve human heal.th by producing oxygen and improving air quality. Less oxygen and more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere causes holes in the “O-zone” layer. The holes can cause skin cancer in addition to many other diseases.
Secondly, Trees reduce soil erosion and water pollution and without trees we3’ll have lots of mud slides and drastic changes in our environment.
Lastly,
Trees provide habitat for native wild life, and now animals are struggling to find a shelter because of the effect of deforestation.
I think that deforestation is threatening our planet and it’s time for us to take action ad make a difference. So our solution to this dilemma is that grade 5 students replant the forest, but each one has to get 7$ with them so we added an extra idea that each grade 5 student every day with do a chore and as an award their parents will complement them with an amount of money every day until the weekend. We hope that you help us. Thank you for taking your time to read this letter. Please put this into thought.
Sincerely,
Rima

THE BLOOD TRIP

Oh! Ya! This trip is awesome, through the inferior vena cava I go! Oh look the deoxygenated blood from the superior vena cava came. (Jealous voice) huh! The inferior vena cava is taking me to the right atrium. I’m squished! By the other blood cells! I beg tricuspid valve to open his gates, but he says “when you are super squished; then I shall open my gates.” When I was trying to talk to Tricuspid valve, I said”tri - - - - - -cu - - - -sp - - -I I - - - -d=http://!Opennnnnn!” He was starting to realize that I was speechless, so he finally opened his gates! I felt way better, when I was in the right ventricle, I felt free!!!! After the right ventricle got crowded, Mrs. pulmonary artery came to take us to Mr. Lungs. When we arrived to Mr. Lungs, he taught us how to get prepared for when the human exhales. So we can know what position to be in. Oh my gosh! He is exhaling, get ready! Set! Gooooooo! I’m oxygenated blood. I’m in the fun roller coaster! Wow! This is amazing did you know that Mrs. Pulmonary vein is very fast, it makes blood cells go in a blast! To the left atrium I go! The left atrium fills up very fast. When I’m starting to feel squished and squashed, I scream and shout! ” Please let me out!” Miss Mitral is very kind; she keeps me busy so I can forget the pain. When I started to squeal she opened right away and so I went into the left ventricle and she says its ok, because Mr. Aorta is here to take us to our babies the cells that are waiting for us to feed them nutrients and oxygen. I go round and round, but I never get tired! I sacrifice my life for my baby cells; I travel the whole world to get them nutrients!!!!

When I was in first grade my parents got a divorce, and I lived with my dad. Life is not a piece of cake; it is a piece of asparagus. I have millions of things on my mind, but my parents’ divorce is not one of them. On Fridays I have to go visit my mom and believe it or not I don’t like visiting her because she blames everything on me, and she also says horrendous stuff about everyone. At home, I go home as an unusual kid and when I go to school I don’t feel any better either. See, as a normal child you go home with a mom and a dad at your side. But, you see I only have a dad at my side, but I think that’s enough for a girl like me. I just can’t help remembering my mom, the women who left my brother, my dad, and me and followed her dream, instead of taking care of us. I know it’s not easy, but it’s not worth doing that. Is it? I don’t think so. I’m trying to get over it bit by bit but she keeps on appearing in my mind as a thought that makes me want to cry and get mad at everybody. That’s my life every day, that’s what it looks like.

Today, Miss Rishani took us to the science lab.
As soon as we arrived there we saw Ms. Sleiman and she told us that we will see an animal cell, a leaf, a plant cell, a muscle cell and finally the banana cell. She described each and every one of them. She said when we finish looking at the cells, that one of us will volunteer to get pricked and so we can see his/her blood cells under the microscope, and Miss Rishani Volunteered. All of us scattered around the science lab looking under every microscope. When I was sitting next to my friend maha we both saw a closet full of reptiles, EW!! Maha shrieked and fell down and broke the chair. When we finished MS. Sleiman pricked Ms. Rishani’s finger then Ms. Sleiman put Ms. Rishani’s blood on a piece of glass and we all took turns seeing her blood cells under the microscope. That was a great experience!

When we went camping in Deir El Amar, we did lots of activities like hiking, Indian walking and sitting around the campfire. When we arrived to the campus that A.C.S owned, coach Wissam showed us how to build a tent. Then each of us got in a group and build a tent. Then each of us got in a group and we build a tent together. Then we put our stuff in to make it cozy. After we finished we had a snack, then we went to collect pine cones. We broke them so we can get the pine seeds out for the salad. There were two things I liked and there were two things I didn’t like. The first thing I liked was the Indian walk it was fun because we got to put different varieties of colors made out of pine cones and sand on our faces. The second thing I liked was hiking, what I liked about it was when we found fossils and ate wild berries. The two things that I didn’t like was the bathroom and the tents, I absolutely did not even get one hour of sleep. What I mostly liked was the delicious food! It was yummy especially the sandwiches, wow do the teachers know how to cook or what? I really enjoyed this trip (except the disgusting bathroom) and the best part was that we were the only people who got marshmallows, because they said that we were super duper great and quiet. I never really liked camping but this camping trip was awesome!

My Favorite Sport

My favorite sport is swimming. I like swimming because, when I swim I feel fresh and I feel like I’m flying. When I’m in the water I can do almost anything, like flip and do handstands. What I like best about swimming is that I can move freely. I also like the water when its icy cold and I like how the water swishes against my body when I try to walk in the water. I feel clean and refreshed. I hate the feeling when I get out of the water while I’m swimming, because I feel so soggy and I can’t walk anymore. Swimming is my life. I really enjoy swimming. I started swimming when I was three years old. The sea and I were so close for seven years and we still are so close the same as before. Swimming makes me feel so energetic. I love swimming

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is (P.S I love u). I love this movie because it’s so funny and romantic at the same time. I love the actors in the movie, they are hilarious.
This movie is about this woman called Holly whose husband dies and sends her mom before he dies letters about how she should continue her life. My favorite part of this movie is when Holly falls off the karaoke stage and breaks her nose.
This movie makes you so anxious about what’s going to happen next. I like the part when they traveled to Ireland with her friends, she goes on a boat ride and the engine breaks and they get stuck in the idle of nowhere.
This movie means a lot to me because, the first time I saw it, it was so touching. When all the letters finished, Holly finds out that her mom knew about the letters all the time. At the end, her mom gave her the last letter and said “I knew this was a bad idea”.

Oh my back is squished and squashed, people walking on me, some people throwing me. I can’t handle their torture! I want to say something but they just don’t approach me, they think I’m useless, but that’s 100 percent not true because I can be recycled and be made into something glamorous. They all think that I harm them but do they ever wonder why? I harm them because when they throw me and I either get thrown in the sea where I can harm turtles or on the street where I can harm you. If you ever use me once keep on using me. When you don’t recycle me and blame me, I’m sorry to say but it’s not my fault. I feel like your slave when I carry your Items. But when I get ripped you just throw me and replace me. Do you know what it’s like to listen to your use of bad language to me when I get ripped? Although I like it when you buy me and take me around the shops. And I enjoy when I stay in your house resting on the couch along with the others.”Oh wait where are you talking me?” EW! That place smells bad! Oh Gosh I’m scared of heights! Ouch! Oh God it’s dark in here. Hi pal! It was a banana, I usually enjoyed talking to bananas they are friendly. I wish I had a real house from birth, oh I wish I was a banana. Ah! Good! Somebody is trying to recycle me! Good Girl! She is giving me my freedom again and changing me into a colorful kite!!!
