 My Blood Journey I started inhaling. The oxygenated blood went in my pulmonary vein to my left atrium. It put pressure on the mitral valve in order to pass through to the left ventricle. From there, the oxygenated blood went in the aorta to the rest of the body. In the mean time, the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava are carrying the deoxygenated blood to the right atrium. When they arrive, they go through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. The deoxygenated blood travelled through the pulmonary artery to my lungs where I got rid of the carbon dioxide (co2). Dear friends, I have a message from heart to heart. I want you to avoid polluted areas, eat healthy food, and exercise daily in order to stay healthy. Is it too much to ask?!
