Zoo keeper hit by elephant

Article posted June 11, 2008 at 04:25 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 893

Who/What: This article is about a unnamed Calgary zoo keeper getting ran into a wall by an elephant.
When/Where: This took place May, 22/08 in Calgary, Alberta.
Why; I chose this article because I think zoo keepers should be more aware of the threat.
I didn't have any connections but I still think people should watch out because these animals can be quite dangerous.

T.A.G #2

Article posted May 7, 2008 at 06:31 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 305

This time for T.A.G we did a energy saving project. Where we turned the lights off and kept track of how much less time we used the lights than usually. We made a graph to show how much energy we saved over the past 4 weeks. If you ask me we did pretty good. Oh right this week on Monday we had the lights off for 1 and a half hours and Tuesday for 1 hour so that's our T.A.G for now blog you later. I forgot T.A.G you're it.

The forests

When I come here I immediately smell great freshness from all the trees.
I can hear birds so clearly it's amazing. There are twigs bursting at my feet with every step.
You see trees all around, grass on the ground and the odd fire ant hill to avoid.
I feel so relaxed so free and fearless like I'm untouchable.
I love the fresh unpolluted air, it's untouched land and I love the wild.
I remeber Dallas Valley and Cypress hills they remind me of this place.
In three months it will be just like now but in six months animals will be preparing for winter.
No other place in the world is this calming or this quiet. I love it so much.

T.A.G

Article posted April 22, 2008 at 04:47 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 227

1. Why do you think it is important to participate in the T.A.G program? I think it is important because even though we're just two classes, if other classes hear of this and try it, that could really help the environment.
2. Our first tag assignment was to clean up our school's garbage from the playground it got pretty disgusting because of gum we picked up but maybe next time instead of cleaning up the playground the community would help us clean the community. Then maybe the city or province or country or the whole world well maybe in fifty years. Also happy Earth day T.A.G you're it

Reflection for math stories

Article posted April 2, 2008 at 06:45 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 234

When working on my digital math story telling me SC and Sam did the one with siplest form. We had planned on using a dozen donuts but me and SC messed that up. Sam made one with happy faces. Our group didn't have too many struggles with the math. We chose something we already knew about. So our hope was to teach others about it we hope we were successful.

Earth hour

Article posted April 2, 2008 at 06:32 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 247

Earth hour is important to me because it helps us fight against global warming. If the whole world participated in it that would help the environment so much. So it is important that we participate in Earth hour for the environment also to start the fight against global warming. That's why my family participated in Earth hour Saturday.

Hello my fellow Bloggers, I'm telling you about two players selected for the CHL [Canadian hockey league] prospects game from the Regina Pats. The players that were selected were forward Jordan Eberle and defensemen Colten Teubert.
The game will take place on Wednesday, January, 23, 2008 at Rexall place in Edmonton. I chose this article because the Regina Pats are proving we have skilled enough players to be playoff contenders. My connections to this is I love hockey and I want to make this game in the future and do what these guys are doing right know.

The faceoff kid

Article posted January 22, 2008 at 06:00 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 227

Yo check this out! I got two resolutions and that's more then last years. Man oh man my goalie loves this resolution wait I didn't tell you what it was or did I. It is winning more face offs in my end as I don't want to cost us any goals. I chose this resolution because man I"m making goalie stand on his head by losing these face offs . If we kept track of face offs I'd win about 8o% in there end and 25% in my end. that's just plain right despicable. My new focus... Let me get this kid when the puck is dropped it's mine!

Hi everyone this is my super incredible 2nd resolution! and it's a totally awesome resolution. This is a totally awesome resolution but I never thought I'd need more effort in gym. I got a B and I expect more of myself. Last term I didn't remember to stretch or run laps. I'll be the first person to tell you I'm going to be intense at dodge ball. My new focus is to work hard get going and say bye bye 'B' and hello 'A'!
