Earthquake Zzzzzzz.
Wake up! Wake up!
What?
Wake up! We need to get to safety.
Why?
Because there is an earthquake.
Oh no.
In Canterbury, near Christchurch, there was an earthquake and on the scale it was 7.1 and that is big. There were no deaths but two bad injuries and cuts and broken bones. Buildings collapsed and roads were shut.
Sand started to come out of people’s nice cool gardens with nice funny garden gnomes. Then water started to flood the roads. The people got out their canoes and started to canoe down the road.
What do you think? Kids are allowed to play in the cracks in the roads. I reckon they are only allowed if their parents are watching.
It’s just getting worse. There are more than 100 aftershocks. But the water pipes got fixed. Some students from the university helped the people in Canterbury.
