We are senior or former students of Puahue School. Some of us want to keep blogging and some of us have moved on to other places in the world, but our blogs remain a record of our learning at primary school.

Sam's turtle On the 21st of May Sam brought some turtles along to school. Sam has one male turtle and one female turtle. The male’s name is Tom and the female’s name is Tracey. Tom is 9 years old and Tracey is 3 or 4. The turtles have very hard shells on their backs. Turtles mostly live in water but tortoises live on land and that is how you can tell what a turtle is and what a tortoise is. Males have long tails and long claws. Females have short tails and they are bigger than males.
