Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful first day at the Whitefish Bay Schools and is enjoying their class (or classes). I just started my first day of 7th grade today and many of your are starting your year in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade. Have a wonderful year and I hope everyone had a great summer but it's back to the books!

4K will be joining hundreds - even thousands - of students around the US in a 2010 Census project called "Everyone Counts." A big thanks to Jennifer Wagner, a computer teacher in California, for organizing this wonderful math, social studies, and language arts project!

Thanks to the win against the Seahawks and the Giants losing, the Packers clinched the Wild Card, so they are in the Play-offs. I'm not sure if the Cowboys have the Wild Card also, but they are close. Good luck in the play-offs Packers!!!

After a nice win against the Ravens, that Packers stand 8 and 4. They have a game against the Bears on Sunday. It will be important to win. Since the Vikings are almost guaranteed to win the division, the Packers have to get the Wild Card. Right now we are tied with the Eagles and trailing closely behind is the Giants. So we have the Wild Card right now but we need to stay ahead of the Giants. Go Pack Go!

Our class just got done reading fantastic stories in lit circles. All these stories had one subject; the characters in the books all faced some challenges.
Our group read Bridge to Terabithia and I am going to write a book review on it very soon. These are all of the books that were chosen to be read.

Have you ever been friends with someone your whole life?..like since you were born...or all through elementary school, and even if you moved you would still be friends? Well when I was 7 my family and I moved from Texas to Wisconsin and I have a best friend who lives there and we are still best Friends!!! We keep in touch with letters, phone, and email! Also we get to go to his cottage in Canada every summer! Since we keep in touch our friendship can last for a life time!
