 Second Grade Happenings Jacob's mom surprised us on Wednesday and was our Mystery Reader. Thank you! Parent-Teacher conferences went very well. I enjoyed sharing all of the student successes. The first reading coupon for "Mastering the Art of Reading" is due on Monday. Every time the students meet their weekly goals(30 minutes), they receive a sticker to put on their paint palettes. Also keep track of the minutes read above and beyond thirty minutes. Special stickers will be put on the palette for that also. If you can't find the yellow coupon, you can write the minutes, along with your signature, on a piece of paper. Leprechaun Traps are due on St. Patrick's Day, which is March 17. Don't forget to use two simple machines and some kind of bait. Students are already on the lookout for those little critters. Please e-mail me with any questions you have about this fun project.
