 Help Stop Wasting Fresh Water Before It Is Too Late! In the first place, we are wasting fresh water when we brush our teeth! When we put the tooth brush in our mouth, we keep the water running and running. Why?! When you put the toothbrush in your mouth, turn of the water, and then, turn it on again when you are done! That is what I am doing and I think that you should do it to! Secondly, we are wasting fresh water when we take a shower. As I said in the beginning, we waste 15 to 25 gallons of fresh water when we take a 5 minute shower. Imagine how many gallons of fresh water we waste when we are taking a 15 minute shower! This is also wasting fresh water. Try to keep you showers short. Last but not least, rivers. Rivers that have fresh water flow in the ocean, and then we can not drink from it anymore! I think that engineers should build irrigation systems and water storage areas that won’t allow rivers that are coming from the mountains to flow into the oceans before we maximize our use from them. This is also causing loss of fresh water. In my opinion, I think that we should stop wasting fresh water as soon as possible, because if we don’t, eventually, we will have to drink from the oceans, because there will be no fresh water!
