Reflection: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Article posted June 5, 2009 at 02:12 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1159

Harry Potter is going to his second year at Hogwarts (school of witchcraft and wizardry). This year Harry is going to face one of the most dangerous tasks: defeat one of Voldemort’s seven Horcurxes…and not only that, plus there will be flying cars, giant spiders and … a basilisk.
Not suitable for weak-hearted and emotional people because we are riding together in the most adventurous, exciting journey ever! In this stupendous book we will know more about Harry, Ron, and Hermione and of course he-who-must-not-be-named…

Reflection: Esperanza Rising

Article posted June 5, 2009 at 09:24 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 236

Hi, today I’m going to talk about the beginning of a book called “Esperanza Rising”.

On a sunny autumn day Esperanza and her father “Sixto” were appreciating her land and he was trying to amuse Esperanza. On the second day Esperanza pricked her thumb (that means bad luck in Mexico.) Her mom was worried if something bad happened to her husband because it was late and Sixto was still not here?!
They sent Alfonzo and Miguel to get her husband. Half an hour later they came back with a body under a blanket. Esperanza started to cry because she knew it was her father. Then (after 5 days) the lawyer came to divide their belongings. Tio Luis (Esperanza’s uncle) got the land and Ramona (Esperanza’s mother) got the house. Tio Luis asked Ramona if she wanted to marry him. She refused.......

Reflection: Riding Freedom

Article posted June 5, 2009 at 09:23 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 194

Hi guys, today I’m going to talk about a part of a book called “Riding Freedom”.
Charlotte lived in a boy orphanage, she only had two friends: Hayward and Vern. Then, one sunny morning a couple arrived at the orphanage to adopt a boy. As usual Charlotte went to sit with Vern. (The man who take care of the horses.) When Hayward came back he told her the good news, he is adopted. (What will Charlotte do?)
In this stupendous book it shows you how Charlotte will survive with Mr. Melshark and Mrs. Boil her whole life! This book’s genre is suspense! I recommend this book because it is full of suspense.

Friend (2)

Article posted April 28, 2009 at 05:43 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 310

"A friend in need"
"is a friend in deed"
a proverb I shouldn’t forget.

Friend
that’s a big word!!!!

A friend:
is special
is helpful
is trustworthy
is always here…

So, since a friend is so hard to find,
we must cherish him.

Sometimes friends fight,
the dark side will break easily,
take a deep breath,
turn the page,
forgive and forget…

Because a friend
is a treasure hard to find,
do not let it go.

Peace

Article posted April 28, 2009 at 05:17 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 196

Peace makes the world a better place.
Peace is the antonym of war.
Peace is within, nobody can take it away.
Peace is a group of birds flying in the immense sky.
Peace unites countries and continents.
Peace feels like an unwritten music.
Peace is warm and comfortable like a mother’s heart.
Peace creates unbreakable bonds.
Peace is a feeling money can’t buy.
peace has no boundaries no limits....

If I had A million dollars

Article posted January 20, 2009 at 02:47 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 356

If I had a million dollars … I would order all the good books on Scholastic, buy all the new inventions (even if every day one comes out), or I would buy one giant house in every country of the world= 250 (estimate).
Even if all of my cousins and relatives would go from Dubai to Los Angeles (one way) all of us would go first class.

My life would be marvelous if I had 1,000,000 dollars because every day I would get 7 PS3 games and 7 PSP games + 1,000 dollars.
My life would be like Ezperenza’s (before her father’s death) and maybe more luxurious.

But, even if I was richer than Bill Gates I would not forget my family and friends. I will be generous, modest, loving and caring about others (all this for my Parents).

Last but not least…,if I had one million dollars I would not forget the poor and the sick children!!! I would help them as much as I can, by sending them to school, trying to let them work….

The Surprise

Article posted January 16, 2009 at 08:14 AM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 197

On a silent summer night a boy named Achilles thought his birthday was tomorrow. In the middle of the night, Achilles’ oldest cousin called and said,"Tomorrow morning we will all go to the airport so you can look at the planes." "But, I will have to ask my parents," answered Achilles. On his birthday, the boy asked his parents, "My cousin Gio asked me if he could take me to the airport with all of the cousins." They answered, "YES".
When the boy’s cousins arrived they stayed for thirty minutes in their cousin’s house, after that they went to the airport for sightseeing. When they arrived they started looking at the F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, and F6…Achilles said to himself, "I wish I could travel by plane to Lebanon." He turned to look at the new plane "The Mosquito" and stared at it for a moment. Achilles turned to go back with his cousins but, all of his cousins were gone even Gio. Achilles started walking in the gigantic airport (alone)!!! Suddenly he got an idea. He looked at the board to see if one of the planes are going to Lebanon. Then, he saw a plane that was going to Lebanon in ten minutes!!!!

Then he decided to go with it because he was lost; maybe someone can kidnapped him!!! He arrived on the plane, searched for a spot, found a spot and sat on it. Then he remarked something, everyone on the plane was old and their faces were plastic-like. Suddenly the old man next to him laughed, so everyone started laughing. After the laughing, everyone removed his mask and shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ACHILLES!!!" It was his family, relatives and friends. Then Achilles declared, "This is the best birthday ever=http://=http://"
