I had a wonderful time at Pongakawa Grandparents' Day. I went as Brent's 'fake' grandma! He bought me some special lunch, thanks Mum, and also a gift, that was most appreciated.
I loved the showcase of talent presented to us by the students, it was wonderful!
Brent also did some magic tricks for me and my friends, and that was pretty magical! One of my friends is the wife of a Magician! She gave Brent some tips, and who knows, one day he may become the Magician's Apprentice!
Thanks Brent for inviting me to such a special day!
I felt honoured!

Today Mrs Scott and 3 students from Room 1 at Te Puke Primary School visited Room 13 at Te Puke Intermediate to present their amazing PowerPoints about Ancient Civilizations.
This is Room 13's inquiry topic this term, so they were interested to see how the three students presented their learning.
The session was finished off with a great song!
Thanks Mrs Scott, and your team.
You did a fantastic job, we were all very
impressed!
I believe that a link to these PowerPoints will be on The Te Puke Primary School website, so I will let you know when that happens, and you will be able to see the PowerPoints in full.

I am so excited! Today I passed the final exam in our International Computer Driver's Licence!
I got 88%, everyone else got in the 90s, but that is okay!
I passed!
Congratulations to Karen, Kirsty and Lesly!
We did it!
Thanks Sheryll, for being a great tutor!
We have our Graduation next Wednesday, so I will post some photos!
I also have a great day out on Friday!
Grandparents' Day at Pongakawa School... I am going as Brent's 'fake' Gramdma!
I believe I am going to get some MORE Flemish food!
I can't wait!
Okay, now the computer stuff is all behind me, I am reading about Dyslexia!

Yesterday Barbara Kelly RTLB and I had a very pleasant day visiting schools in my area that I don't have students at. We have a vacancy for a new student next year, so it was a great opportunity to visit those schools, to let them know what the Supplementary Learning Support Teacher's role is, and what services I can offer.
Thank you to the five schools, Te Puke High School, Rangiuru, Maketu, Pukehina and Otamarakau for making us very welcome!

Bianca is going on a class trip to Wellington later in the term.
Yesterday we played a new game about New Zealand. There are general knowledge questions, a time-line about important dates in New Zealand history, and facts about key locations.
It was great. We had fun!

But... there is more!
He will still be a member of our blog, and we hope he comes in to tell us what he is up to. Next year he is going to High School, and I am sure we would like to hear about his exciting new adventures.
Thanks Brent for being a terrific student.
I look forward to seeing you at Grandparents' Day, when I come as your 'fake' grandma!
