Thank you Book Braggers for another great year! We had a few laughs, ate a few snacks, played a few games, and we talked about books!

Scavenger Hunt begins on our last meeting/party this Thursday!

Book Brag Wild Goose Chase:

Step 1.

Go to 'Writers for Young Adults' in Reference section. Choose Volume 3. Find the Author on page 193. How many books authored by this person does the Cosgrove Library have in it's collection? Bring your answer to the Loud Librarian for the next step.

Rochester Childrens Book Festival

Article posted November 8, 2007 at 04:46 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 217

I attended the Rochester Children's Book Festival this past weekend with my wife and three sons, and it was awesome! I believe this was the third festival I have been to, and it was certainly the best attended. I got to see many familiar faces including Cosgrove 6th grade teacher Mrs. Page (who helps organize the event!), Bernabi Librarian Mrs, Sickelco, Greece native and author Vivian Vande Velde, and many other neighbors and old pals. My son Caleb and I checked out one of the 'Teen Programs' where author James Howe talked about two of his YA novels' 'The Misfits', and 'Totally Joe',...both fantastic realistic fiction books! Later on we bought some books and had them signed by the authors. Did any of you bookbraggers get to attend?

Don't forget to bring your sponser sheets to the library...show me $26 and I'll give you a T-shirt!
