Write about what traditions your family has and what you do for Thanksgiving. Think about what you eat, where you go, and what you do. For example, does your family watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade every year? Once you are done writing about what your family does, compare how this is similar or different to what the Pilgrims and Native Americans did at the First Thanksgiving.

Choose 7 Random facts about yourself and write about them. Then you will look at other students blogs and find students that have the same interests/facts as you do. You will post a comment to the student for each of the facts that are the same as yours OR things you're interested in or curious about. Some things you might want to include in your random facts are below:
1. Favorite sport or athlete
2. Pet you have
3. What you like to do in your free time
4. Something you are very good at
5. Something you would like to be someday
6. Something that you do not like
7. What you like to read
OR if you can think of other random facts to include about yourself, then write about them. Remember you can only have 7 Random Facts.

Our class has the WONDERFUL opportunity to blog with some Syracuse University basketball players. WE LOVE S.U.!!!We came up with some great questions to ask the players! The team is giving our questions some serious thought and will post their answers as soon as they can. (I guess they should finish practicing for their BIG game first!) We can't wait to see what they have to say! Here are our questions:
How does it feel to make a game-changing play while under pressure? Are there any games you wish you could play again?
What was it like to play 6 overtimes AND how did you feel after?
How long do you guys practice for and how do you prepare for a game?
Did you like any other sports when you were little? If yes, which sports?
Who do you think is your best player (except yourself) and why?
For Kristof Ongenaet: How did you feel after your fall and how did you still make plays?
For Rick Jackson: If you could pull off any dunk trick, what would it be?
For Coach Boeheim: What qualities help you decide how to pick your MVP?
For Coach Boeheim: How do you plan on shutting down Blake Griffin and the rest of the Sooner’s offense?
And last, but not least... This isn't a question but we just have to say that we all love Jonny's smile!
Blog to ya later!

Watch the video below about the War of 1812. For extra credit in Social Studies, make a list of important facts that you learn from this video. The label of your list should be "War of 1812." Make sure your facts are accurate and neatly written. Please remember your name and the date on your paper and hand this in to the S.S. Bin. Then, you will have an extra 4 in S.S.

We didn't get to video conference with Ms. Wood's class yet, due to technical difficulties! However, we found another way to introduce ourselves to them... We had a conference call on the telephone! We also finally got to meet "Sunny" the salmon! See the photos below of our awesome experience!!
