Doctor Pa’s Science Experiments Image Hosted by PicturePush - Photo SharingOn Thursday 11 August a man named Dr. pa came to teach us science experiments in the science room. The chinese home stay people came as well. There were materials all everywhere in the room and they looked really cool. Doctor Pa is actually Ciennas grandfather.

The first experiment that he did was ‘Static Electricity’. What he did was he got a straw, cloth and a can and he wiped the straw on the cloth and he put the straw close to the can and the can followed the straw which was really cool.

The stuff that he used in the next experiment were a candle, bowl, chronic flask and green dye. What he did first was you get the bowl and candle, put the candle in the bowl, then he put water in it and then you put a little tiny bit of green dye in it, then he put the chronic flask on top of the candle and what was really cool was the dye came up to the cup.

The next one was when he put an egg on the jar. The stuff that he used were a jar, egg, match and a paper towel. What he did was he lit the match, put the match on the paper towel and quickly put it in the jar and also quickly put the egg on the jar. After that what was really cool was that before the egg couldn’t fit in the jar but now it could and I thought it was really cool.

The next experiment was a candle with magnesium. Dr. Pa chose some people to come up and help him. First he put the magnesium on the candle and what was really cool was that the candle got lighter and it was a bright as the sun. When Bartholomew did it he brought the magnesium up and it still worked which was really cool.

My favourite experiment was the magnesium one and the one where the water came up.

I really liked it when Dr. Pa came in and I really learnt a lot of experiments. I would definitely would like it if he came again.
